Your Opinion Needed (on a tshirt design)

Post by bortwein »

I have worded up this interesting tshirt design and it's a little different for me so I wanted to get some opinions on it before I submit it to a contest. Please tell me what you think and if it should have a chicken on it or not...

When it comes to silly putty, it was the putty... but the egg was next, then you can get the chicken after that... I assume.

you can use silly putty to pick up ink off of newpaper, and silly putty comes in a plastic egg. so assuming you had a newspaper that had a picture of a rooster on it, you could press the silly putty onto it and the picture of the rooster would transfer onto it.

now, see, i used to play with silly putty so i know all about that... but i didn't realize what that was. had no idea what the egg was supposed to represent. maybe there should be a newspaper in the background with the chicken facing the other way?
dunno.

Well I had to submit it (How Silly) without the chicken, due to some of the submission rules. (No photographs and no "tiny" half tone patterns) so with those in mind I decided to submit it without and see what kind of comments it would get. So far nothing real good. I'm thinking of making a new chicken for the putty and putting the whole thing on a new colored shirt. It will bump my number of colors for printing up to the max of 4 but it might help the design.

Something I also wanted to mention about that site. If you sign up to be a memeber so you can vote on the shirts, it doesn't mean you would need to submit any designs for shirts. Signing up just allows you the option to do so, as well as vote, blog, and buy the shirts.

Thanks for all the info and feed back about the design, I'll repost about it when I get a new chicken.

In the mean time check out my "Nobody's Cooler"
