Funny how that works :P

At least it served a purpose, however :)

THANK YOU for pointing out my 400th, though. I hadn't even noticed.

ROCK!

Here is the two week update which I promised y'all about four weeks ago:

Soon.

So don't y'all worry. I hope to have venue and schedule information posted within twenty-four hours, and while I think this is a realistic hope, I've seen enough television to know that twenty-four hours can last for months. Anyways, I know y'all are getting all tingly and excited like it's mid-November and you can't wait to open your Christmas presents, but, you know, patience.

Oh, well, as far as that goes, I am basically just waiting for one guy to call me back, and he hasn't yet, so everyone can feel free to freak out. I have an idea! Why don't you handle the freakers-outers for me, since you've got all that experience with it, and all? :)

Hi, I have some kinda bad news: due to things which are outside my control, it looks like my "Plan A" venue has fallen through. Don't worry, the show will go on, but it's gonna take a little bit of time for me to get a new place for the show to go in. I apologize quite a lot to those of you who are trying to plan travel and are inconvenienced by the delay. And I do realize that the show as planned will start nine weeks from tomorrow, which is not really a long time away. Please understand that I will do everything that I can to make the whole weekend shebang the spiffiest shebang that I can, and that I will let y'all know the very same instant that I have a schedule set in stone.

Too good for the Skybar, eh? Can I be of any help? Wanna book the Good Time Emporium in Somerville for Saturday the 13th? hehehe

FWIW, I am playing at the Paradise Lounge on the evening of Friday August 12th, with my old band the Pincushions, if anyone is around this particular weekend.

I hope you can secure a space as I am about to deal with transport, etc.. I was assuming the "gig" was Saturday night the 13th. The status post doesn't specify, just says fri-sun.

Expect probably stuff both days, Friday and Saturday. On Friday, probably just evening, but Saturday could be all day and all of the night. Depends what I can arrange, and it may well be multiple venues because nobody (so far) is willing and or able to tie up an entire week-end.

May have to compromise on all-ages even though I really don't want to; looks like at least Saturday night will probably end up at 18+. Liquor laws are pretty wacky here in MA and often date back to Puritan times. And that's today's update! Will be talking to a few more places tomorrow (& Boltoph, the Sky Bar is on my list, just not my first choice, so we shall see) and you all get another free update whenever I get home. Probably late, but for that you should blame Architecture in Helsinki.

Again, I'm sorry that this isn't all resolved yet but I am doing my bestest to take care of it soonly.

I appreciate the updates. Frankly, the best thing you can do for us is just keep us in the loop. People get the most worried when they don't hear anything for a week. We're also happy to help. Just let me know.

I hate to do it, but I have to retract my previously stated commitment to go to SF LIve Boston. I know that pretty much puts the whole thing in jeapardy, but finances and scheduling have combined forces and put me face down on the mat...

Crappy. Oh well...I'm sorry I won't get to meet all you peoples. Maybe next time. (sigh...)

Boooooo! boo on your bad news! I wanna hang with Redcar!

I am still intending to make this show, wherever it may be. I have gigs on my schedule for that weekend that I'll need to pass along to fellow musicians, so the sooner we have definites, the better, of course.
But yeah. If there's a SF Live as close to home as Beantown, I have no excuse whatsoever for missing it. I'm still kicking myself for not making it to Austin last year.

Looks like Boston might be iffy for me, due to some scheduling problems that've come up. Thanks and apologies to anyone (worm) who may've already started bits I asked for help with, but I imagine it's still early for that to've been an issue. I'll drop a line if anything changes, but it's starting to look pretty crazy this summer.
