So I just got thinking about this... how many SF bands are made up of families/family members?
Father/daughter combo:
- Jim of Seattle/Madi
- BJAM/stueym
Husband/wife:
- Hell Yeahs
- Glenn & Rachael
Pretty sure there are others.
I know Starfinger's wife has two lines in his songs, but I don't think that quite counts

One week I wanna do a purely percussion and vocal song and get my mom to do all the percussion and me to do all the vocals. We'd totally win.

While not exactly part of the "band", I've dragged them all in at times (not enough, though):
Monica
- french auctioneer on Run Faster
- letter reader on Twenty One
Erik & Jason
- discussion on Talk About Your Feelings

Octothorpe has contained at least two families over the years.
Spud = Ray C. Freeman III
Bud = Amy Wong-Freeman (my wife)
Spudnut = Laura Xiao Lan Freeman (my daughter)
Stubs = Aaron Ondek
Dita = Patricia Ondek (aaron's mom)
Bud has played keyboard on many of our recordings, and SpudNut sang on Accelerator, and has performed with us in concert.
Dita sings on Been to China and our cover of Bolio's Deuce, and has performed with us in concert.

MintyHandy and ibellaluna are married, and she sings on his "Our Loves Violates Corporate Policy".

My daughter did guest vocals on "Feet" and "Jimmy Hat", and my wife sang on The Voice Inside Penny's Carvan's "The Jig Is Up" (Long Fight)

Sarah has helped me out on 3 songs. I think that qualifies her as "in the band".

So my brother wants to do lyrics for next week's fight. (Apparently I don't flow enough in mine)

My wife is on "Getting All Sweaty" and "Take a Pill" and is involved in the songwriting process. She is often the pair of "fresh ears" during mixes and some eq and level decisions are made upon her critique.
so . . . when was the last time you backed up?

I think "Minty Handy" may be a husband/wife duo.

Madi and I are one duo, but my wife did the vocals on the Ants (Invisible) song "Sarah Vowell's Motto", so I've gotten the entire family involved. Though never all 3 of us for a single song.
