only records mono?

Post by Koushirou »

i just bought and am figuring out an M-Audio Ozone....And something's happening that i'm not sure how to change. When I record in Adobe Audition, it records the mic in the right channel and the instrument in the left channel, but both in the same track. this applies even if only the mic or only the instrument is plugged in (whatever's being recorded ends up panned to one channel). Any idea how to get it so that the default position of whatever i'm recording is the center?

it's doing the right thing. your inputs are mono and your mic is mono.

change your default track type to mono, and then it'll be in the center of the stereo output mix.

What blue said.

Audition lets you select the input device and channel for each track. So make track 1 take input from M-Audio's left channel, and track 2 take input from M-Audio's right channel. Voila.
