Set up live gigs with each other, announce gigs you're playing around the country or whatever, talk about how the show went, post links to recordings, etc.

Whats odd about this is that we'll meet and be drinking together nearly a thousand miles away from our homes that are less than 90 miles apart.
funny you say that, I was in Tampa yesterday(Sunday) visiting my aunt.
Lovely weather you guys have.
2.) Promotional materials. Printing posters, tee-shirts, etc, is another thing that I have no experience with. Bortwein made up some groovy shirts last year, and I assume he was responsible for the posters too. I did find one place on-line that will turn around orders pretty quickly for cheap, so we could theoretically put this off for another few weeks-- I'd like to wait as long as possible to get as accurate a list of attendees as possible. I've never done this before though, and I don't want to end up with super crappy stuff. Plus I have no graphic design skillz. (I have some ideas but yours are probably better, for all values of "you.")

i wasn't planning on going, but if i could score a cheap ticket, i'd come just to sing backup on starfinger's "more than soup"
Well Jack, after missing you last year it would be nice to catch up with you this year. I understand though... your plane ticket would be a bit more expensive this time around.
I bought my tickets today... I arrive in Boston at 9:30am on Thursday the 11th. Probably try to catch up with someone or just galavant around the city..I don't know. I can catch up with my cousin sometime later in the day.
is there an info page i can send to a friend of mine?
he sometimes writes freelance for newspapers and such in boston and is a music fan. thought i'd alert him to the show.

Hey is anybody else staying in that HolidayInn across the street from the event ? i was looking at booking a room there, but its gone from $80 to $110 a night ... and seems like it only be worth the money if theres more people staying there as well, so we can party.

Yo, I might be able to help you out. Have some guests coming Thursday, and then I'm relocating for a week and a half starting Friday so can't offer much more because of that. Let me know.

Man, I had the worst phonecall with one of their employees. Then the manager told me $129? Did I hear him wrong?
For y'all having problems with the hotel: did you tell them that you were coming for a function at the City Club? That's supposed to be the magic password to cheapness. I will see if I can figure out what the problem is.
Yeah. First I said city club, and she just would not say anything but "you're not a member" and I mentioned Roy McDonald, but she wasn't even listening at that point. When I talked to the manager, I layed all that out and he said $129. And I asked "so $79 is only for employees?" and he said yeah.
it's possible that they sold as many rooms that they had earmarked for the cheap rate already. bzl, since you made the arrangements why don't you check and see? having just got married we had a hotel booked for our out-of-town guests and had to keep an eye on those guys to make sure we had enough rooms at our rate. which we ended up having no problems with...
