Best Songfight Vocal Pairings?

Links and other hanky panky that doesn't have to do with anything in particular.

Best Songfight Vocal Pairings?

Post by EightLeggedOedipus »

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to put together a mix tape for this tour, and I'm really getting into songs with multiple singers, a la Fugazi's "Waiting Room" or Pinback's "Loro" . The only one that comes to mind is the <a href"http://www.songfight.org/music/brand_ne ... .mp3">Hell Yeah's Brand New Car</a> which in retrospect is really an awesome song. I love it. ANyone know of any others? Rappers just trading verses doesn't really count. I'm looking for interplay.

So Long Atticus. The Landfillspart was actually an a capella thing they submitted a couple weeks before for Level Best, which I turned into the duet bridge for SLA.

Songfight related, rather than from songfight, but forgive me for pimping Octofest's on my block by myself and Freudian Slip. Sonny & Cher? Bjork and Einar more likely, but it works ....

Which reminds me I owe Spud a wav of this .. oops

well, not the "best" of anything, but a funny and rare harmony vocal in an sos tune: http://www.songfight.org/music/why_are_ ... r_kick.mp3

featuring me on angelic girl vox.

also, our "death plunge," but ... i dunno. the vox are a little weird on it.

glenn case and i did a songfight tune ("accelerator" by insects ahead) where we traded vox on the verses and on the last verse we traded lines within the verse.

also, the frontalittle stuff has lots of obvious interplay.

All of Gert's entries have both harmonies and trade-off lead vocals:

I found a lot of good ones already thanks to you guys. Yes, Heather, I really do dig "The One". Thanks y'all. Keep em coming

(And thanks for a surprising, charming addition to the Frankie Big Face folder)

Check out Explino! for Ken and Glenn singing together. My favorite is Three Day Waiting Period.

hey, thanks jack...I almost forgot about that. I do wish he'd go back and remix it a little...adjust some of the clipping but otherwise I like it and it's almost like hearing it the first time just now.

btw, me and blind mime are NOT lovers... it just sounds like it ...

Hey kids,

We're back from the tour, and the ones that did make it onto the mix were

Hell Yeahs - The One
Hell Yeahs - Brand New Car
Juan Carlos De La Castaneda etc. - Por Favor
JBB and ADD - Mineshaft
IRC Allstars - I Meant To Remember
Gert - One Less

I think that's it, but I might have forgotten someone. Thanks for the suggestions.
