When you post the songs, I would suggest saying "songs posted on october 4th" and then when a few more come in late, you can post them lower on the same page and say "late" or specify the date. This takes about two seconds of coding, right? And then have a comprehensive vote list somewhere else that doesn't specify when songs came in. But if you want to make sure you have all the songs, you can look at the dated index. Right? If that's too much work, I'm sorry I brought it up. Just a brief suggestion.
glug glug glug egg makes wine. You can make wine too.

Oh good idea, then we can chastise and generally make fun of the tardy ones... Pehaps we can send them to coventry as well, and tar and feather them. Hmm?Egg wrote:When you post the songs, I would suggest saying "songs posted on october 4th" and then when a few more come in late, you can post them lower on the same page and say "late" or specify the date.
You utter utter oeuf you.
It would be better to send them all huge virtual hugs so as they are never late again.

As long as you have deadlines, there will be late arrivals. And people who say they will and then don't, for whatever reason. Shouldn't be bothered by that, but you shouldn't make any great exception for them either. Otherwise what's the point of having a deadline? You are 'punishing' those who manage to get their song in time ...
Also, last year there was no voting mechanism (as I remember) so it's not like it really matters, as long as everyone who does a song gets a song ...

I think you should pay $1000 to everyone who enters on time. That would take care of it. [slaps hands back and forth indicating a problem neatly solved]

Mine will definitely be done tonight. My voice is back, and I'm actually pretty psyched up to do vocals on this. The extra day gave me some time to work out a few 'bugs' in the way the lyrics/rhythm was, so the recipient will only benefit from my tardiness (heh- I just said 'tard') anyway.

Mine is being converted to mp3 as I type, and the link will be sent in a few minutes. Humble apologies for extreme tardiness.

I think you should change it to B-Jama, to rhyme with Pyjama ...
