House of Delusions
So I've been trying to get Glenn Case to make his vocal talents work for him in more ways than just songfighting. I've always thought he had this perfect DJ voice. Maybe it was the fact that he can talk faster than any mofo I know. Maybe it was his 5 octave range. Maybe it was his love of independent music and talking it up and making it himself.
So I offered him up some webspace to make this more of a reality and he's crafted up this excellent little podcast radio show which features many fine artists I've never heard of, and some I have, and some you probably have too. But honestly, please listen to his show and tell me that this guy isn't born to be a DJ. Terrific show Glenn. Glad to help and hope this leads to bigger things for you.

Thank you for the kind words, Jack!
This show is pretty much exactly my dream show that I wish I could get paid to make. I threw the first episode together in a couple of hours, and I REALLY enjoyed making it.
That's why I think I actually have a prayer of doing this podcast thing on a regular basis without abandoning it soon.... like I have done with so many other things, but that's another story altogether.
If you actually set 90 minutes aside to listen to this, I thank you in advance. Maybe you will like some of it. That would be nice.
Thank you for suggesting that I do this, Jack. I can't wait to hear the next one, and I'm the freaking host!
ROCK!

Amazing 'Cast. I listened to the whole thing instead of going to bed last night, and it was well worth it. This is the way more podcasts should be: engaging, well put together, and rockin'. Glenn has a confident enthusiasm in his voice that makes you want to listen to him. He also promotes genuine interest in the bands he spins: I, for one, am definitely going to check into Liam Lynch after hearing this. Looking forward to episode #2.

Thanks for liking it! Not sure how to get in touch with Harry, but I have sent the commercial via e-mail to all of the e-mail addresses listed on the site. I hope the spot entertains the fine folks at Jellyvision, and I have a secret hope to be a YDKJ host at some point in my life......which is no longer secret......damn!Tonamel wrote:Another fine episode!

Thanks, Ken!
Slowly but surely the episodes are getting moved to what will become the new and improved Spewgrass. Most importantly, I shouldn't be able to kill the bandwidth any more, which is a relief.
In case you have missed an episode, here they are:
I know that Rachael would ESPECIALLY like some feedback about <a href="http://www.spewgrass.com/podcasts/glenn ... .m3u">Last week's show</a> since she was the co-host and all. You can <a href="http://esc67.midphase.com/~spewsch1/pod ... ">download it here</a> if streaming is not an option.
Subscribing now will only get you the 2 most recent episodes, so get these old ones while you can, if you are interested:

<a href="http://www.spewgrass.com/podcasts/glenn ... .m3u">Show #7</a> is up.
The semi-mushy references only last for the first 3 songs or so, I promise.
Also: Did anyone (outside of Ken) particularly enjoy <a href="http://www.spewgrass.com/podcasts/glenn ... .m3u">Show #5</a> that featured Rachael as a co-host?
Any requests?
For those who care, it is also worth mentioning that the House of Delusions also has a <a href="http://www.myspace.com/houseofdelusions ... k">myspace profile</a> now too.

I dug Rachel as a co-host. The dual alter ego thing was cringe worthy but it worked well overall. You two have chemistry together, which is a good thing when you're married.

25 years ago on Thursday, something terrible happened. I started this week's show with a song that I think is a Brilliant statement on the subject
Figured I would tell you this in advance: The House of Delusions will begin a more "Bite-Size" show length starting in 2006. We will go from 90 minute shows to 42 minutes per show. (Yes, this is meant as a nod to Douglas Adams, plus it won't be as tough for me to meet my weekly deadline!)
This Week:
Ellis Paul
John Lennon
Sugar Ray
Radiohead
Tomorrow Today
Bare Jr.
Brother Machine
Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong
DJ Prince
Downtown Science
Badfinger
Brad Yoder
Lazlo Bane
Daryl Hall
White Zombie
Miss
Beverly Bremers
Henrietta
