I like you more than my posts suggest, seriously I do.
I just enjoy debating with you because I am ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE you can hold your own in a debate.
That's all I hope we were doing was debating. You're one of the most intelligent guys here, I would hate to lose a sparring partner over something as insignificant as this.
Man, if it's more than that then PM please.

Why is it that some threads seem to rapidly go off topic and often end up as a bitch fest? Odd.fluffy wrote:The most bizarrely captivating car commercial ever
I thought this worked really well as a viral net marketing campaign. If I had faster ADSL I'd have watched more of them, but on the basis of getting people to your site this will have done the job.
Did anyone see the Ford KA commercial with the cat being de-capitated?

I did not enjoy the advertising or it's technique. It did not make me want to buy a car. It did not make me want to buy a Mercury. (car)
It did make me visit a website. It did leave me remembering the name Mercury. However, both of these items in negative connotation. (One could argue that bad publicity = good publicity = any publicity)
Good day Gentlmen.

Well, they seem to have gotten ten people right here at songfight that might not have seen it otherwise (myself included) to watch at least one of their clips. Some liked it, some didn't. Marketers always shoot for eyeballs and play the percentages.Kamakura wrote:I thought this worked really well as a viral net marketing campaign.

Also maybe the DVD version I got works better. As a DVD with the clips in a specific order it seemed like a quirky independent film. I browsed the site only after watching the DVD to get more of the story filled in.
I don't know how one can get the DVD version, but I probably got it by getting on one of a billion mailinglists by merit of buying a car (I never really understood why car manufacturers seem to target people who just bought a new car).
