The X-Tokyo Top 25 of 2005 NEEDS YOUR HELP

Post by Niveous »

Last year, I did a big top 200 of 2004 Songfight countdown. This year, I want to do things differently.

Sometime around the first week of January, I will make an X-Tokyo Radio Show with the Top 25 songfighter songs of 2005. But unlike last year, I want the opinions of the community. PM me with your top 25 favorite songfighter songs of 2005.

Criteria:
*Must Be-
- from someone who has participated in a songfight

*Can Be-
- from a songfight (between The Pawnbroker's Stepdaughter and Last Day of Free Speech)
- from somesongs (between January 1st and December 23rd)
- from an AAD
- from a Coverfight
- from a Hxaro tribute
- from a sidefight (such as Song Skirmish, GoM or Rolf is a Nazi...)

(This means you have a little time to flood somesongs with some of your best material.)

I will compile the votes after Christmas and put on a show in the beginning of the new year, including some special stuff I have planned.

Thanks in advance for the help in compiling this,
Niv

You've already got my top 5 Niv - they can remain confidential till the final results - but here are my numbers 6 - 14:

6. Gallows Hill - Caravan Leaf (OK - I know I already put one of my own collabs in my top 5 - but that's just the sort of guy I am  )

7. Chance - The Rant

8. Turn The Power On - R. Mosquito

9. Don't Break My Heart Again George Lucas - X-Tokyo-River-God

10. Honeymoon in Polynesia - Roymond

11. Gallows Hill - Bloodberries and Cream

12. Twin Kiss - Luke Henley

13. I Hate You - The Rant

14. Turn the Power On - Vapor Can Ideas (oops...me again! Ahh.. what the hell - I deserve it)

(BTW: Whatever happened to "The Rant" - I think I may have been his only fan...)

With only 3 three people voting - there is a very good chance that Caravan Ray will take up quite a few of those Top 25 positions...Awesome!

Since I got so few responses, I'm gonna cancel this.

Thanks to those who voted.

Sorry to see that it didn't come together. I was actually hoping to use the 25 as a starting guide to catch up on some good entries that I missed out on this past year.

I honestly didn't feel like I listened to enough somesongs and songfight this year to be a qualified voter on what was good, myself.

ROCK!

I figure I'll still do an X-tokyo best of Songfight 2005 show but since few people voted, there is no use in basing it on that.

...BTW: who is "Johnny Cochran's Lo-Fi Blues Experience" - was that really a one-off entry - or was it a regular using a false name. Whatever it was - I loved it.
