New G'n'R tracks
New G'n'R tracks
I was going to put this in "Currently Digging," but figured that'd be dishonest as I'm not even remotely digging it.
Here are 3 tracks from Guns N' Roses' (but really just Axl Rose's) 10-year-overdue Chinese Democracy: http://scenestars.net/2006/02/guns-n-roses-irs-demo.php
(And here's some background on the "most expensive album never made." IMO, it should have stayed that way.)

i don't know. i'm listening to the IRS tune now and the production is fucking killer. and axl's voice is very strong. the song isn't doing much for me lyrically but it still rocks. it's funny that it's got a very stone temple pilots feel about it, who i think they were sort of competing with at the time.
ok, the blues tune did nothing for me. ugh on the power ballad.
the last tune is pretty good too though, with the hip hop drums. yeah, this tune fucking rocks man.

Hahaha.. That's awesome jack .. you just gave Axl Rose a songfight review!!
Axl: Killer production as always. The lyrics are a little dodgy, but you make up for it with your performance. Good stuff. Keeper.

Man, what's with all the Guns 'n' Roses hate?

Scholz. Tom Scholz. M.I.T. graduate, inventor of the Rockman.
Anyway, I'd say offhand about several million dollars. But that's 80's & 90's dollars so maybe it's the same. And I did listen, to all 3 tracks. I'm not going back and re-reading the article but from what I recall there's about 30 to 40 HOURS worth of stuff like that. All I'm saying is finish it for Christ's sake. If I was Geffen I'm sure my language would be a hell of a lot more harsh than that.

Here's an interesting read regarding the Boston saga.
What I took away from it might be a lot of what Axl's feeling. It's hard to say until you've been there I guess. I'm really not trying to dog on him though.
Yeah, and who doesn't want a Les Paul? Someday brother......someday.
