Commonwealth Games

Post by Tex Beaumont »

Well that was the stupidest bloody opening ceremony I've ever seen in my life. Melbournians are dickheads. Flying trams? Ducks? Ballerinas and motorbikes? WTF?

(though it was cool to hear The Church again, doing Under The Milky Way)

I hope the people from Beijing were watching. These things are getting out of hand. If they saw the dog's breakfast Melbourne dished-up tonight they would scrub the whole 'Opening Ceremony' idea - and just have a quick march-past, maybe let off a few balloons, light the torch and get on with it.

Still - 2 weeks of watching New Zealanders getting beaten is alway fun - let the games begin...

Needless to say unless my campaign to reclaim "all" the former colonies in the name of the queen is succesful there is not a cat in hell's chance of seeing it here on TV. God Bless bbc.co.uk!
