OK - I pretty much agree with Judge #3 rankings (except I would have given myself 15)
15 Calfborg
Love this one. Calborg is the real dark horse in this competition
14 WreckdoM
Possibly more comedy skit than actual song - but it was entertaining, whatever it was
13 Ross Durand
I agree with the universal praise of this - though some of the lyrics were a bit "wordy" - ie the singer (and an absolutely splendid singer she was) seemed to have trouble getting all the words out. Otherwise, songs about rural sluts shagging itinerent murderers will get me in every time. Well done!
12 Glenn Case
Great vocals by both of you - I think this is the best I've ever heard Glenn. Not really my cup of tea style-wise - but I still appreciate this and enjoyed it.
11 Tex Beaumont
This was actually an unfinished masterwork that should have been a 30 minute mini-rock-opera. But I had a cold last week, so...
10 Octothorpe
A bit better that your other stuff - but I still don't get it
9 Thornberry
Actually I like this one - I would have really ranked you just after Glenn. Not quite as polished as your usual stuff - but some nice melodies.
8 Ken
This is a really great song - but the excecution didn't work for me. The guitars were very jarring to my ear, and the two voices didn't seen to fit together well. Shame - because just like you last week entry - this is a beautifully written pop-song
7 Jim Tyrrell
This one wore thin pretty quick, sorry JT
6 Heuristics Inc.
Likewise here - wore thin quickly - the superhero thing was lost on me
DQ- The BeWells
Mighty pretty geetar picking - shame, a few random vocals thrown in - and this could have seen you through to another week
...and the immunes
11.5 Deshead
Nice chorus. Sounds to me like Weddings Partys Anything with a North American accent
10.5 Leaf
Not bad. White boys from suburban Brisbane don't go for the funk much.
