Happy father's day to all you daddy's out there. (uh... I suppose for some of you "daddy" means something a little more intimate...ah, what the hell, we'll include ya).
That's right kiddies. Eventually, you too will be a daddy. You'll look at your little ones, hell, when they hit ages like 14, you'll really know.. what a bizarre thing the life cycle is... and a beautiful thing.
When 14 year old kids start telling me that Metallica is classic rock, and "have you ever heard of led zeppelin?" then you REALLY start to feel silly for giving your dad a hard time for digging "that old band the animals".
Today, I'' be making my family our traditional eggs benedict, then I'll be the MC at the local music store's student concert (well...it's really more of a recital I suppose) and my daughter is singing in it for the first time... I'm excited about watching her sing.
But I digress, and that's oh so rare!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY ALL YOU WICKED COOL FATHERS!! How wicked is it that your kids have a pseudo-rock star for a dad!!!! That's right. We FUCKIN RULE!!!!!!!
Roar.

My boy and I spent yesterday at a train festival. He wore his "My dad plays in Loco Mojo (but I love him anyway)" T-shirt.Leaf wrote:How wicked is it that your kids have a pseudo-rock star for a dad!!!! That's right. We FUCKIN RULE!!!!!!!

I've been chilling all day with my boys, T the Snowmiser & M the Heatmiser. I've gotten homemade cards. The girls got me Lost on DVD (at last it will make some sense). My father's day has rocked.

The 3-year old told me that I was her "favorite person on the radio". Knocked that "pseudo-" right out of pseudo-rock-star for me!
Happy (belated) Fathers' Day everyone!
