Name that old game!

Links and other hanky panky that doesn't have to do with anything in particular.

I played the HELL out of the Commodore 64 version of Below the Root, FWIW. For me, that was one of those games that was fun to play, even after you had won the game.

ROCK!

Okay my turn. This little beauty from Apogee was the start of my son's downfall into gaming hell. The first game where he was able to complete levels. BTW he was 6-7 when he was doing this. God bless the PC XT.

Holy cow, I can't remember either. I just remember this room with a bunch of pipes and the pipes would take you into these other rooms that you had to jump around in a lot. That didn't help anyone at all, I think.

No, although the Commander Keen series was an integral part of my development.

It's Crystal Caves.
http://www.3drealms.com/caves/

Okay, here's another one. It's only 5 years old, so it's not that old. Only half a decade. But it's the best game ever, so I had to post it. It's the only RPG that I've ever liked enough to play all the way through twice. And I'm considering a third.

How do you beat a game with dialogue like "Atta girl, fat legs! Attracting suspicious old men!"?

Okage: Shadow King!

Hold on while I find a good picture.

EDIT: Here you go. Hints: Despite being plagued with bugs at release, it's one of the best games ever made.

Kudos to Niv... Apogee also produced Catain Keen and his follow-up's which were equally ridiculous.

Ummm.....Having Doomsdome in the upper right corner of the screen shot ruins the guessing. I know there's more to the name but still.

I don't need the name of the level to know CRYSTAL CASTLES when I see it.

Used to have it for the Atari 2600 AND the Commodore 64.

Guess that makes it MY turn! Woo Hoo!

ROCK!

2 screenshots, same game.

For an old-school racing game, this one holds up surprisingly well.

Looks like a more graphic version of Chuck Norris Superkicks than I am used to seeing.

Is that what it is? Which system, if so?

Wow, that didn't last long. You most assuredly know your obscure games.

It is, in fact, Chuck Norris Superkicks for ColecoVision (which I own, although I do not have this particular game).

Your turn again!
