The Third Man

I had never seen this before. We got a 35mm print at my theater. It's gorgeous. If the opportunity comes to see it on film, do it! The story is actually a little more straightforward than I was expecting, but it's got style and panache to burn. Orson has a classic entrance, and there is a great chase scene in the sewers of Vienna. Plus, gratuitous almost-nudity. A

Definitely a classic. I went to Vienna once for a couple days and got a kick out of seeing the ferris wheel type thing from the movie. I didn't ride it, though, unfortunately. Anway, A from me though it's been so long since I saw it I don't remember it super well. I mostly remember liking it.

I saw it and it was good... I read somewhere about how Welles wrote his bit about the cuckoo clock, and that was all he did, and that he has about ten minutes of screen time, but that's all anyone remembers. And it's true.
