How about which system it's for? It looks like something early-80s, but doesn't have any of the earmarks of any particular system. I want to say it looks like Intellivision though I think it had blockier sprites than that.

I would say, but I don't want to spoil the game. I will give a suitable hint, however. You have finally hit an era where I was playing video games.

I own both games. It is not Sharp Shot. It looks similar, yes.

Sharp Shot does not have a scrolling screen, and our mystery game does.

Go ahead and throw your hat in the ring, Jim. Put this one out of it's misery. :)

They used the same graphics as Sharp Shot! Cutting corners on a licensed game....I shouldn't be surprised.

JimT is correct - technically it's ADVANCED DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS but you know, close enough! Actually this game was not cutting corners at all - it's a lot more complex than most or possibly any other Intellivision game of the time. See this site:
http://www.intellivisionlives.com/blues ... tml#cloudy
" Because of its complexity, this was the first cartridge to go over the 4K size limit; it was allocated a whopping 6K."

Little bit of personal history relating to this - back in the early 1980s, I was about 10, and my dad worked for TRW, fixing bank mainframes, cash registers, ATMs, and the like. For some reason his office was also a distributor for Intellivision and cartridges, and so we were able to get a system and games very cheaply and therefore begin my fascination with video games. No idea why his office had them but I was very pleased! The system still works, 25 years later, and my niece and nephew play it with me when I visit my family. Cool!
Anyway, your turn JimT.

Huzzah! That is correct. Man, I played the hell out of this game at Stop 'N Play in Plymouth, NH. Never got very good at it though.

That is correct.

I was initially thinking that a maximum of 10 players was a good idea, but I changed that. If you can guess it? You're in. First to 10 points, wins, and a new round is started.

ROCK!

Oh drat! I actually knew that one! Alas, I spaced out on checking this thread. That may have been my last chance to correctly guess another game... I'm pretty pathetic as a games nerd. -M
