<s>Make it my "Mumbo Jumbo," and I'll rerecord it if I have time.</s> That leaves like two minutes of space I'll donate, I guess to Johnny Cashpoint, if a) I can do that, and b) he has something to fill it with.

Edit: I'm an indecisive fuck, but scratch "Mumbo Jumbo," I'll stick with "Violet."

Err, thanks, man! for the thought anyway even if a) your violet is longer or b) blue frowns on this kindness.

Blue, this is a way cool idea.

Unfortch, gonna have to pass on round 1 due to time constraints...too much music lined up for the coming months, first baby is almost here, no shortage of non-music stuff to do, and re-recording/mixing would be a fo sho to be in on this.

ARGHHH!

So..thanks for doin' it! :)

I seem to be in 8) so I guess I'll figure out what to upload. I think some vocal re-work is in order, too.

Anyone have any recommendations as to which song(s) I should include?
- Say the word

and a reworked version of "A promise is a Pomise",
really like the whole Am-F struming thing... but it really annoyes the crap out of me when that distorted guitar comes in, replace it.. also a more snare driven drum track, with out the symbols, and maybe some of your harp work as well... i guess more of a <i>wester/desert rock</i>, but hey its your song.
i don't know, but i can hear that song in my head, they way it should be...
and it rocks..

Blue, I've been thinking about this all night, and of the songs I have that are 2 minutes and under (or could be reworked to be), I think it has to be my 'Keep in Touch' (originally released as Benny Cemoli) to be the j$ entry. I have been meaning to re-record it for ages, so now I have the perfect excuse.

I shall do it this weekend.

Thanks again, Jon Eric. And Blue for doing all this.

I will be re-doing "Sunny Again" which is 2 minutes long.

I would like to request "More Than Soup" by Starfinger at 2:10, please, Craig.

I would also love to have something from Abominominous' Phil who expressed an interest along with Craig I think early on, and I'm sure has something under 2 minutes.

Since I can easily unload my 10 copies, I'm wondering if people getting in with the extra time (or anyone else, for that matter) can get in on the bulk order as well? My guess is the cost per would remain the same, they'd just need to get the money to you before you send in the order.

Okay, I'll do something with Promise is a Promise, but not now. I don't know what to do with it yet. Say the Word is gonna need a little work, and that's prolly all I have time for.

so I'm thinking:
-Say the Word
-12 Monkeys

Unless you guys have a problem with there being samples in it (though it seems like movie samples aren't problematic, just music ones)? In which case I'd probably use Cellar Door, if someone has an extra minute they want to give me. Unless you guys have any other requests.

[edit] I totally forgot about "Can't Take Our Love Away." That's the 2nd one, definitely. And that clocks em both in a 6 minutes -- perfect.

isn't the CD full? i'm sorry I haven't been following this thread too closely due to work being busy. but if there is a place for it, I can definitely get a better quality version together.

the CD itself isn't full, but i have enough signees to go ahead with making it. the track list is still in flux, and it looks like most people want to be nice and put one song of their own on it and donate the remainder of their time.

no one who hasn't paid money is going to receive a copy of the CD from me. in order to get more copies made, i'd need an additional $200 + shipping. AFAIK, these can only be made in lots of 100.

I think I speak upon behalf of Redcar when I say that WTF would be, hopefully if not too Creedy sounding  , would be a good addition to the CD. That and Moscow, Idaho. I'm sure PinV, Leaf, and I would most welcome to be a part of such a cool concept and put our money where our mouth's are. That is if you ship to Canada.

I have 6 minutes and am using 2 minutes. I would like to donate 2:10 to you for "More Than Soup." And since Phil expressed an interest early on and I'm still left with extra time, I would like to donate 1:50 to him.

Blue. As maitre 'D of this wonderful thing, when do the tracks have to be sent in?
If we have extra time do we put it in a pool, or give it to 'someone'?
And lots of other questions yet to be thought of...

Perhaps I'll just re-read the thread in case I've missed something...
Good idea.

I really want to be on the first of these CDs, but there doesn't seem to be any spaces left. Will someone donate some time to me?

I probably need three minutes.
