GONE PHISHING / King Arthur

I thought it was all over
On the day that Jerry died.
It was a long strange trip,
And that was the end of the ride.
But there were other bands,
Trying to keep some life in the line
So I picked one at random
And I hung out a sign.

I've gone Phishing - I'm back on the road
Gone Phishing - anywhere there's a show.
Gone Phishing - it ain't quite the same buzz,
But it's as close as we're likely to get
To as good as it was.

I stopped in to see my mom,
When they played LA.
I took her to a show,
She said it was... okay.
She let a few of my friends
Camp in her back yard.
So when the tour got to Denver
We sent her a card, and it said...

We've gone Phishing, we're still on the road...

For me, it all ended
The day Phish called it quits.
After thirty years of touring
What did I have to show for it?
So I've gone back to school,
I'm working on my degree
But every night I drink a Jager
And I put in a CD.

And I go Phishing - like I'm back on the road
Gone Phishing - with a favorite show
Gone Phishing - it ain't quite the same buzz
But it's as close as I'm likely to get
To as good as it was.
