SOHO OMVI UFO DITTO

Post by mc3p0 »

I saw the new Navy ad last night. A low, full moon glowing across a nightlit beach, reflecting in the tide, sweeping sands rhythmically crashing. No swords or subs, diamonds or dogs, just the lunar influence on the oceanic pulse.

This thread is open to discuss the past, current, and future sociological, political and military ramifications of Unidentified Flying Objects.
The SOHO (Solar & Heliospheric Observatory) project is being carried out by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as a cooperative effort between the two agencies in the framework of the Solar Terrestrial Science Program (STSP) comprising SOHO and CLUSTER, and the International Solar-Terrestrial Physics Program (ISTP), with Geotail (ISAS-Japan), Wind, and Polar.

SOHO was launched on December 2, 1995. The SOHO spacecraft was built in Europe by an industry team led by Matra, and instruments were provided by European and American scientists. There are nine European Principal Investigators (PI's) and three American ones. Large engineering teams and more than 200 co-investigators from many institutions supported the PI's in the development of the instruments and in the preparation of their operations and data analysis. NASA was responsible for the launch and is now responsible for mission operations. Large radio dishes around the world which form NASA's Deep Space Network are used to track the spacecraft beyond the Earth's orbit. Mission control is based at Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland.

I can almost understand this post. It hovers tantalizingly at the borders of my comprehension.

Compare the two C2 images, which are hours apart, there are geosynchronous objects in orbit of the sun. Whenever you see the rough "rippled" effect, they are also visible. Many of them don't leave position for years, if ever. Like a treasure hunt, there are hundreds of oddly-shaped objects, a few obviously not exhibiting natural radio frequencies.

Here's a recent fine image from EIT304 of a solar flare helix appearing, and down further there is a strange white streak of rather odd frequency.

C2
A cruise around Sol.
A hiccup with a large object up top - check the geosynchronous objects against previous posts. Also here. And here too.
A large object surrounded by smaller ones in the upper-left corner. Then again in the lower-right.
Two very large objects - one with an array, one tubular.

C3
Strange object imaged in the Imperial Vortex.
A moment of rest. And yet another pause in flight.

EIT171
Pretty butterfly-looking Solar activity. There is also a little object skittering near the Southern pole. A side-view.

EIT284
Objects of interest near the North pole, and the lower-left object seems to be
in orbit.
Another North pole visitation.

C2 and C3 seem to show something squarish. Watch the gif movie to see that enormous, bright, spoked orbiting object in C2 spin it's way into view.
