Two-Syllable Rhymes in Brand Names

Post by Plat »

Rhyme makes a great mnemonic device for marketing. Until a few minutes ago, I didn't realize how many two-syllable rhymes were staring at my geeky face.

I came up with 4:

Wi-Fi
FireWire (one can debate this is not two-syllable)
BlueTooth (slant, but close enough)
HotSpot

Do any others come to mind, geeky or not?

Nutter Butter
Lite Brite (Weird spelling: also a great marketing ploy!)
Stop & Shop
Fineline (Does this count?)

Bandnames? "Sleez Beez" (I think I spelled it right)

Huh, I'm sure there are more but none come to mind right now.

Marcus Kellis has it going on a little.

I'm not talking about rhymes.

what the hell, caravan ray. you say my music's shitty, that I have a little nob, and continue to blast that I'm not very good at drinking. I know it's song/fight/ and all, but that's about enough, dick.

I, Caravan Ray, hereby wholly detract any malicious, derogatory or defamatory statements made in regard to the person of Marcus Kellis or with respect to said person's musical ability or fluid capacity. As to aspersions cast relating to the damaged parties genital dimensions - these were obviously nothing more than scurrilous speculation. I furthermore pledge to cease and desist from issuing any future vituperations.

(NB: the above statement does not apply in any way whatsoever to Denyer).

Piggily Wiggily

(and BTW, Tears for Fears is one of my fav 80's bands. I have one of their albums but unfortunatly it's from 1993. Still good though.)
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D
