Wait, so we're picking our own songs for the people on this list to cover? Or... wha...

I think I missed an important post somewhere.

You could do it that way, but I haven't made any plans as to how I will pick songs yet.

Ken
I would think you could do it, as Mr Marcus suggests, have people send a list in order of preference. Then draw the lists out of a hat. First chosen gets his first choice. 2nd chosen gets his first choice - unless that arist is already assigned - then you move down to his 2nd preference. And so on until all artists are assigned.

Anyway - that's the way I'd do it - and since I it spent most of my afternoon at work yesterday carefully placing my list in order of preference - I certainly hope it wasn't a wasted effort. :wink:

We are supposed to send Ken a list where we pair each participant with the one song of ours that we want that participant to cover, ie:

participant -> song by Lunkhead that Lunkhead wants the participant to cover

For example:

jb -> More Than Soup
starfinger -> Hold My Calls
bjam -> Here Comes My Dragon
etc.

Format it however you like, of course, but that's the content Ken needs to be able to pick who will cover what.

So I'm definitely in, thanks Ken and Lunkhead, but I only have like 15 songs in total, maybe not even that many. I can pair them up, right?

I sure hope so. I'm only using my 4 SongFight entries and a CoverFight song of an unentered SongFight title.

I just wish that Blue was doing this so I could make him do my Peppermint Patty song that he loved so much.

Please read the rest of the thread, you'll see that we went over the "not enough songs" issue already. You can assign the same song to multiple participants, but it's suggested that you do that only if you have to. Also, only if you have to, you might be able to get away with assigning songs from projects other than your main one(s). I may toss in a Merisan or Loyalty Day song, for example. In any case it might be good to include on your list who the song is by, so Ken doesn't have to add that piece of info.

Re: Lyrics

Whoever gets me - (I think) all of my lyrics can be found in Ye Olde Lyric Archive.

Most of those which pre-dated these boards can be found at Plat's excellent website:
http://legacy.dillfrog.com/tools/songfi ... aravan_ray
and the 3 songs which aren't included there (Waiting Takes Time, Thanks for Coming, Spring of Teal) - I will put into The Archive Project thread of the Lyric Archive

Dang. I wasn't sure who you were so I just gave you the same song I gave everyone I was confused about.

Whew, got my requests in *straggle, straggle*.

Just in case it's not too late to say, "Plat" is basically "The Cow Exchange". Either way, I'm expecting a track from the "who is THAT?" bin. :D

Like Caravan Ray, all my lyrics are either on the old Songfight Explorer or the songfight lyric forum.

Ok, My list is in.

That was tough. I tried to use as many of my songs as I could, but some were repeated. Very interesting exercise, and then to think all that work, and just one of them is going to happen.

Almost all of my lyrics are in the appropriate lyric thread - I did also include a couple of tunes credited to "Ross Durand feat. ...." And what to put down for my brother?...hmm.

Looking forward to covering one for one of you out there - I hope it wasn't too hard finding something to put next to my name :D

I think it would be fun, after the whole thing is over, to post the lists so people could see what you wanted them to cover, and maybe we'd get more hxaro covers out of it!
