I just want to record stuff off my TIVO since the kids can't let go of their favorite NOVAs and my wife can't let go of U2 specials...
Does anyone want to recommend a home DVD burner that easily and efficiently records from any video input? When I read an article like this one I say "that's for me". Any other similar sets?
This Panasonichas superior reviews, though.

I have a Samsung for my TV top DVD burner. I'll be honest, it wasn't very expensive, (around $300) but I've had it for almost 2 years now and it does everything I need it to do except let me burn rented DVD's because they are coded. I've been told of a few different filters/devices to get past the code, but DVD's are so inexpensive within a month or two of their release, why bother. But we do record from the Tivo endlessly and it works really well for that. I'll Tivo live musical performances and then burn them to DVD minus the commercials because it has a simple editing menu.
Off topic: PBS had a fund raiser at around 3:00am 3 or 4 weeks ago and they broad casted the entire "Animusic" DVD, so I recorded it. This shiz is amazing. This DVD PAID for itself with this recording.
Here's a few samples:

http://digitalmedia.oreilly.com/example ... hamber.mov
Let them load or it will defeat the whole perfect timing factor, lol.

I bought the Panasonic ES25 for $200. Don't have a lot of time to shop around and had to move with the models they had.
