See Glenn Case above: there's only one way to follow a bloody brilliant cover of a truely exceptional song by offering up a quite obscure weird song.... so here goes:

http://eclecticspoons.netfast.org/emoliente.mp3

currently submitted to somesongs (and I'm a teensy bit worried about it's reception... oh well in for a penny etc...)

I decided to record my take on the most perfect pop song of all time.

I will say that I taught myself how to play this song on my acoustic guitar yesterday, and it required me to find 4 or 5 chords that I would have never dreamed of playing otherwise.

Here is my rendition:

<a href="http://www.glenncase.com/music/covers/g ... mp3">Glenn Case - God Only Knows (Beach Boys Cover)</a>

ROCK!

I have a cover of Love Spit Love's Am I Wrong over on my MySpace page. It's not me singing for the first time ever. Vocals and guitar are courtesy of my bud Matt from Portland. Oh, and be my friend if you're not already. I'm a good shoulder to cry on and I make delicious waffles.
Aren't you the guy that hit me in the eye?

The covers continue, and quite honestly, I'm a little surprised that these vocals came from my mouth.

This honestly might be one of the most fun songs I have ever tried my hand at recording...ever. I am particularly happy with the arrangement that I threw together.

<a href="http://www.glenncase.com/music/covers/g ... mp3">Glenn Case - Let's Stay Together (Al Green cover)</a>

EDIT: I am in a groove or something.

I decided that I am going to try to start a new tradition. It would be cool to send out a CD of covers with any Christmas cards we send out.

If I finish them in time, I will just post links to all 12 songs when they're done.

In the meantime, here's another one of the songs that will be on the CD if it's done in time.

<a href="http://www.glenncase.com/music/covers/g ... mp3">Glenn Case - Crazy Love (Van Morrison Cover)</a>

ROCK!

I didn't like the title this week, and I felt like doing another song after my Glutton I finished last nite http://www.lightningmp3.com/live/file.php?fid=5762

So I made another song tonight, it's called Garlic Breath. Reviews welcome. It's not a serious song by any means. Just something to do. Still, it's better than average by my standards. http://www.lightningmp3.com/live/file.php?fid=5778

Reviews for that Glutton song are welcome too, no one has given a review on the review thread for it.

I sure wouldn't want to go to a thread called "Hey, listen to my new song!" and expect people to actually listen! :P

Stop replying to my posts Denyer.

This isn't a song, but I just made a 16 minute fake documentary.

It is called My Movie.

I made a second movie. This one's called Dominoes. The description reads thusly: The Professor of Outer Space would like to give a lecture about the loneliness experienced during space travel. Actually, he would rather play with dominoes.

Dan: I can't believe I actually watched that whole thing. But I did. About 10 seconds before you mentioned blair witch, I was thinking "Man, this is like a funny blair witch."

You should keep at this.

Thank you, sir. The strange thing is that I've never seen the Blair Witch. I intend to make more little movies. I just need to find the time to do it. These two were partially made because of boredom from being stranded in Michigan with nothing to do during Christmas Break. But more will definitely come.

If anybody's interested in hearing more King Arthur stuff, I set up a page over on eSnips and have been uploading a bunch of the things I wrote and recorded for songfight but never submitted...

It seems to work better in MSIE than it does in Netscape... not sure about any other browsers, but there's definitely some stuff that Netscape loses...

(how do I make the links just say the words and not display the whole www dot thing?)

cheers guys.

The fastest way I know is to type the text you want seen (It Belongs To Me)
Then highlight it and click the URL tag above (when posting a reply), like this > It Belongs To Me
Now click between the "l" and the "]" symbol in the first " tag and paste an = symbol and your son ... ongs To Me (I added spaces so you could read the text line)
It will look like this > It Belongs To Me

There might be an easier way, but that's how I do it.
