Currently listening to the new Shins album, <I>Wincing the Night Away</i>. I think it's kickass. Plus, when I bought it, my local indie record shop threw in a bunch of promotional stickers and a 7" with two non-album tracks. So that's why you should always buy from indie record shops, I guess!!

Listening to 'We are the Pipettes' has some bright moments, lead vocalist sounds kinda like sophie ellis-bextor, a lot of energy a good but not a great album!

Righties love MOD. Well, some of them do at least. Billy Milano's one of the most conservative guys around.

I actually used Spandex Enormity in a speech for a college course once. The instructor, an avowed feminist, didn't seem to care much for it. In fact, I used Zappa's "Bobby Brown Goes Down" in the same speech ("Women's Liberation came creepin' all across the nation"), and I KNOW she didn't like that.

If you have not yet heard Ross Durand's El Balazo (from the Nur Ein competition last year) you are missing out. It's pretty much in a completely different league than most SF stuff... it just came on my shuffle and man... I still am stunned by that track.
