So the unthinkable had happened, Just a couple of years after finally bringing Bucky back, they go and kill Cap! or have they? who is the guy in the helicarrier that Wolverine says doesn't smell like Steve Rogers, what will the punisher do? will Marvel cop-out and bring him back?

I think he'll be resurrected. They couldn't just leave him dead ... it'll probably be in a few years, then they'll win back readers with some crazy story of some scientist who raises him back from the dead.

Let someone else take up the mantle. Make the Civil War have some potency other than killing off the New Warriors and Spidey giving up the identity. Marvel has been going some ludicrous places with their storylines (the House of M for example) and they just need something concrete. Kill Steve Rogers. Leave him dead. Let someone else take up the mantle. As long as that person is not USA Agent or Patriot. I'm perfectly fine with Winter Soldier.

Well said Niv, though I have serious foreboding where the punisher is concerned, Bucky's a good call though!

Exactly my sentiments though leave hime dead, the Cap series was always tired and tedious, though the current volume five run has been pretty damn pacey and well written, it would be a fitting end!
