Ten Lies
Due: Monday 04/09/07 9:59am pdt
---
...only nine more to go.
I had to kick off this thread, because post-West Coast Tour I'm eager to drop another song, and this time the wife is singing along. Lyrics are almost done, music is complete and on deck to record.

So you don't think people are on the edge of their seats, praying he doesn't get done today?blue wrote:no one cares.Rone Rivendale wrote:If I can get the music AND lyrics done today, I'll be in. Otherwise I'll be missing this one.

When I got the title, I first wrote the below. But it's really more of a poem and would be difficult for me to create a melody with, especially in just a week.
Plus, I have already created new lyrics. Lyrics that some might say were difficult to follow, but they work for me. I think many top bands have hard to follow words, but if respected as poetry (which it is in lots of cases), then I don't think my lyrics are bad. Some minor polishing? Yes, of course.
Anyways, if anyone can use them (as is or modified), here are the lyrical donations for Ten Lies:
ten lies deep in the past (as a vague dormant memory)
a distant age of immortal imagination
summers in the farm house (fishing in the cow pond)
from Mississippi to Maryland
seventeen years ago (something of a lifetime)
but light years of ignorance
days lasted forever (but flew like stop motion fast forward)
and faded into time well spent
concerned with baseball cards, comics, (hiding in my own little world)
and missin' church on Sunday
a little boy just lookin' for fun (dispite the cold realities)
ten lies in wait for a day,
that just happens to be,
next Friday

It wouldn't even be worth if Rone was your only choice. I'd rather write one about a rock.WeaselSlayer wrote:Originally I was going to say "hell, I'll write whoever a ballad." But I realized, the Ballad of Rone Rivendale is meaningless if there are others who would have their might chronicled through song.
Am I rockin' hard, or hardly rockin'?

beats
I am in this week with another hip-hop song. Just as with King Me, I made this beat myself (I did not even use my Casio). So, from now on assume all my future songs are using beats I made myself, since I now know how to do that.
