I finished it last night. It's now submitted. Frisbee gave me his part on Friday which was luxuriously earlier than i expected, then i thought it was due tomorrow morning, but alas i have no time to tweak it.

good luck everyone!

90% done. Just finished my vox. Now for a final mix tomorrow, and I'm in.

I'm really going out on an artistic limb with this one. Now I'm asking myself why I'd take such a huge risk in such an important fight. The only answer I can come up with is.....Live, from California, it's NUR EIN!

During the last Nur Ein I found myself wondering why i didn't try to play it a little safer with my submissions. For what it's worth, I'm in somewhat unusual territory with the upcoming song, too.

I guess it might be a good idea to try and play to your strengths as much as possible. But in the end, all you really have time to do is go where the song title takes you. And this is one of my favorite things about this little contest, and songfight, and the AAD, etc.; the time limit forces you to expand your horizons. Or take a more generous assessment of your existing horizons. That's probably more accurate, really.

I totally concur.

I think the non-optional challenges in Nur Ein! pump that up a little, because sometimes mulling that ove pushed the song in a direction I wouldn't have gone based on just the title itself, so "where the song title takes" me is a different kind of journey.

This is what I do in every song, no exceptions. That could go a long way to explaining a lot, though.

I actually had a plan for a theme I was going to stick to before Nur Ein started. It felt very forced on this song, so I had to let the title take me over and bam, it all started flowing. The mind is an amazing thing if you let it speak....it's mind.

I know how you feel. This song is quite unlike me, but still has my flava mixed in there somewhere. The challenge was definitely easier than last week's.

sweet, finally in. :D

I worked damned hard on this one and I hope it does well. Unfortunately my live drums guy didn't come through... again. :( So we'll have to make due with programmed drums and it still sounds great. I hope you're ready for this one!
