This lady is playing at the bar down from my house on Wednesday, so I looked her up.
Now I'm listening to her stuff on Yahoo, and it's pretty great. You can hear some on MySpace:

I love "Don't Lose Yourself".
A little like Jonatha Brooke. Definitely going to the show.

Nice find John. Don't Lose Yourself is good, but Galaxies f**king rocks.
I'll check them out if they hit my City.
Why couldn't they either call them selves Laura Veirs and the Saltbreakers, instead of saying, Laura Veirs and her backing band the Saltbreakers? Or just Laura Veirs and then just name off the band. That bugs me for some reason. She has a good voice and she seems to write pretty good, but the reason I like Galaxies is 75% because of her band.
Either way, they sound great.
