Wow, that was much needed! I still have no solid ideas and have been unable to come up with even a single line of lyrics or a melody. I took today off from work to tackle this...with a four day weekend now things are looking much better.

That kind of seems unfair to us who crammed and sent it in before the weekend, but hey - the more songs the better.

Well, there was only you.

You can redo it and reenter if you desire.

And since you are here and don't seem to answer e-mails, who is the guest on your song?

Yeah, this is admittedly a tad unfair to those who don't have a holiday during the extension.

Which is awesome. ;)

Well, it's been a crazy week for us. On the same day we get the new title and deadline, King Colon learns of the sudden, tragic passing of the younger brother of his closest friends. With him accompanying them to the funeral that left us 3 days to write record and complete our entry with guest vox no less. Instead of getting discouraged or quitting however, King Colon and I both (He especially) spent basically every free minute of those 3 days working on the song, and really enjoying the challenge of it. Good friend Dave Doak came over to record vocals on extremely short notice, and turned out to be the perfect candidate (he comes prepared to record with fixin's for Whiskey Sours, it don't get much more WreckdoM than that!) Then, just as I'm about to send the link to Niv, Colin already out of town, we get this news about the extension. So, all I can think about is if there's anything more we can do to it. Right now, I'm drawing a blank. I still think it's done. Anyways, I wanted to publicly shout out props to Colin for embracing Nur Ein despite the hardship and really kicking ass in the process. Dave is also the man for singing my typically askewed lyrics and making them sound cool. You'll soon get to hear him but until then enjoy these photos of us taking a breather. Nur Ein!

Mr Lostman and Cynthia Size, your contributions are just the ticket - this is going to be interesting! Still awaiting input from 2 more choir members - meanwhile the mixing and slicing and dicing is ongoing. Any of you who were counting on ol' Texy to go bowing out this week (and I'm sure you all are, based on my first 3 songs) - better just think again...
...song took a bit of a strange twist tonight - as Sausage Boy's contribution arrived  Pure Gold! I'm tempted to thow my stuff away and just enter his vocal track (and SB - there is no need to explain why you were naked - let's keep a bit of mystery - best to just leave us wondering).

And speaking of naked - just one guest vocalist still to come, and he promised to deliver as soon as he can prise himself away from the strip-club. Come on girls, let the man go - he has singing to do...
...and now Rabid Garfunkel is on board - the choir is complete!

Rabid, Spoons, Lostman and Sausage Boy - thank you all very much. We'll be giving them all a good old shake this round - don't you worry about that.

1. Frankie Big Face (58 )
2. Thank Glenny for the Frisbee (57)
The Bovine Recyclery (57)
Not that it makes much difference, but in looking at the scores I noticed that the Thank Glennny for the Frisbee total was only 56. FBF was indeed 58, and The Bovine Recyclery was indeed 57. So for whatever it's worth (more motivation for us  ) we only got 3rd place. And Bovine was the true 2nd placer.

this is of course if I understand the scoring correctly, maybe we got a bonus point (Brownie point if you will) from somewhere?

TGFTF- 16+13+12+15= 56
TBR- 15+15+13+14= 57
FBF- 16+16+16+10= 58

(the bottom 3 were accurate as well)

I'm so happy we got an extra two days. My vocals are getting recorded and mixed today. This song took a strange twist into uncharted territory. I hope it's received well. I'm digg'n it, I just hope the vox don't break it.
