Post Father's Day Roll Call.

I'm sick again. I ended up spending a large amount of Father's Day laid up in bed nauseous. No fun. But at least I enjoyed the time I spent not sick, like recording a new song with my li'l noise band- The Yellow Crayon is Missing. Give a 5 year old a kazoo and a 7 year old an egg shaker and a pair of bongos and let them ad-lib for 2.5 minutes and you've got gold.

Question of the day:
A classic from Friends. What celebrity would top your Laminated List?

I was just in the middle of starting the Roll Call for today, I was answering my question of the day... but I guess I'll have to save it for another day. So here is my post sans QotD:

Good morning everyone! Phil and I had a pretty good weekend. Phil slept all day Saturday and I got to hang out with the kids. We played, I did the dishes and picked up the toys in the living room. Typical boring stuff.

Yesterday we went to the Como Zoo with Phil’s parents and brother. We had a great time. Spencer and Allison both went on rides at Como Town, the little amusement park inside the zoo. Allison loved looking at the animals and got to try out some of her new words. She said “ape” for the orangutans and gorillas, “mun-kee” for the monkeys. She even said “raff” for the giraffe. I’m super proud. She didn’t want to ride in her stroller, and walked most of the time. She loves her uncle Tone and was so glad that he went to the zoo with us. She spent most of the time holding his hand. Cute.

I do plan on catching up with all of the QotDs that I've missed... that's the plan anyway.

As for todays... I think mine would be Nick Cave. Phil knows I have a thing for him and I know I'll never get the chance! I wonder if Phil will answer this one???

Hey, niveous... I do not envy you. My back aches though. It's weird, it just started less than a month ago. Every morning I wake up with pain in the middle of my back. It's internal so I don't think it's my bed or couch. I can't 'rub' the pain out. I've done some reading and there are other people out there with the same problem and have spent thousands with no result. (including MRIs and junk) They still have no idea what it is and the common thing is that their doctors are recomending pyschologists...as if it it were all in their heads. Whatever.

I've never had a laminated list. (Currently not in need of one) But I'd leave just about anybody for Drew Barrymore. Its easy to say when you don't have anyone to leave. Meg Ryan is/was a close second.

I just drank Pink Bismouth. Ugh, terrible stuff. I hope it works. The worse part about getting sick on Father's Day was the fact that this huge dinner was planned in my honor. My wife's special fried chicken; beer-battered onion rings; T made cornbread; corn on the cob and Aurora's special Key Lime Pie. And I could barely eat it. :(

I also realized that I forgot to answer the QotD: Emilie De Ravin ("Claire" from Lost, "Tess" from Roswell)

Back at work. Got some advice for eliminating noise in my music room system. Gonna try it tonight. Spending the rest of my day dropping my pronouns.

QOTD: If the laminator was running and ready, and I ws forced to pick a quick five, I'd go with: Winona Ryder, Pam Dawber, Daryl Hannah, Elizabeth Hurley, Salma Hayek.

Proof of fun.

I stopped at double dragon foods on the way to the zoo and bought some dried mangoes, some dried plantains, some cookie things, some "fruit cake" (little discs of...wheat & sugar and... "haw" flavoring?) and some "Tasty Black Soybeans." "Tasty" must mean something else somewhere else or something.

I got a lot of sleep last night, so, you know, go team. I'm gonna try to draw something today, so, well, we'll see.

QOD: That's easy: Madonna.

I didn't get to bed till 3-something after finishing the AAD and winding down (by playing Half-Life 2 Episode 1, of course), so I'm pretty tired. But I did finish. As for the Q, that would not be allowed.

I had a great Father's day.
My boys really know me well.
Christopher bought us all custom cut Rib Eye steaks right from the butcher (sorry vegans)
He got me a special one about 2 1/2" thick
It melted in my mouth. I couldn't even finish it all. I ate the rest for lunch.
Plus he knows how I love to try small brewery beers, so he got me a case of Wing Walker, which is a small brewery from Wisconsin. It's a mild lager, which is also my fav. It was very good. Like a dark Heineken, but more flavor and a little sweeter.
Cody got me a couple cool T-shirts from my favorite store, The Rack And Ruin. One is a "TOOL" (the band) shirt that says, "I Am a" right above the TOOL word/logo and the word "fan" real tiny, almost unreadable, under the TOOL word/logo, lol.
The other one has Stewie Griffin on it done like the famous Andy Warhol 4 Marilyn's multi color.

QOTD:
My wife's is Johnny Depp
Mine is Avril Lavigne....this week

For Father's day I got a hand made and illustrated book from the boys and Monk. Awesome.

QotD: I meet Hoblit's Meg Ryan and Drew Barrymore wager and raise him Sigourney Weaver.

The fact that the list is laminated is a little disturbing to me. Perhaps I just have a filthy mind.

I'm sure there are many on my list, but at the very top is Mr. Stephen Malkmus, although I find his new 'stash pretty offputting.

He actually recently moved to my 'hood, so I see him around, which scares the crap out of me. Stupid crushes.

I think I probably shouldn't post Chad's without consent. Heh.

qotd: Based on the definition, I don't need a laminated list, but I think I would put Penelope Cruz on there.
