Who can speak Dutch?

Post by Smalltown Mike »

At least I think this Dutch. And it's about me. So I'd kind of like to know what it says. Can anyone help?

This is way liberally translated, as I don't actually speak Dutch. The parts in parentheses can be labelled "guessing" at best, but I think I'm pretty close. In meaning, if not literally.
"Grade school kids now have their own punk icon: Jam Toast. Under the slogan 'Silly adults, punk is for kids!' Michael McKinnon (makes punk for children). With three chords, and titles like 'Roller-Skating Wiener Dogs,' 'My Sandbox Rocks!' and 'Toys on the Dancefloor' McKinnon (wants to show you that you're never too young for punk). "(It's not just for kids), Jam Toast is for parents too" said McKinnon, father of two sons."
[edit] Changed "not to young" to "never too young," and reordered the last sentence to make sense

It's amazing how much like German that looks. Actually your translation is pretty seemingly accurate. To somebody else that doesn't speak Dutch, anyway :)

Thanks very much. I did try an online translator, but thought I'd double check with someone, you know, alive.
