People that smart can be borderline crazy... so it's not unconceivable that he was just a loon.

He came from of a family of crazies as a matter of fact. He wouldn't be the first in his family to have committed suicide either.

Kinda hate to see this fact become public, cause now when someone who hates classical music comes along, they're gonna use the argument, "You know, Hitler listened to Tchaikovsky."
