From Britain, I think - he's getting a decent fan base here in Calgary - I heard him played on the radio, which was pretty cool, especially since there are many skeptics who don't like his voice - Does anybody else like Mika?

He was born in Lebanon but lives in London. I think he's great. A few people said he reminded them of Freddie Mercury and I almost agree. His voice is better than most of the artists around these days and he's attractive. It's a good combination. And his music doesn't suck either :D Lollipop is probably my favourite song

The first time I've heard of him is from the link in JR's post. The song that plays when you click the link is "Big Girls, you are beautiful". Sounds like a redesigned version of "Fat Bottom Girls". So the Freddy Mercury comment fits pretty good.
Also, being that the USA is at epidemically high levels of obesity, he is making a good business move. He's going to have tons of chubby fans. (pun intended).
