Here's a demo of an entry. If anyone wants to do full music with this same groove, then let's collab via PM!

The song is a cover of Jolly Roger's "Glutton". I barely modified the lyrics as shown below. I sang along with his tune, then I waited a minute (to let my mind settle a bit), then created a new melody based on his melody and wrote the new guitar part (besides, I wouldn't have been able to figure out, least play the guitar part; too much movement for me!). One additional experiment I performed here was using the capo at the 5th fret (ooooo, daring!).

Anyways, here is the original Jolly Roger version:
http://www.songfight.org/music/glutton/ ... lutton.mp3

And here is my re-interpretation (bruises and all!):
http://www.philwages.com/music/JollyRog ... cdemo).mp3

I am ready for the tomatoes to fly!
Wages

Glutton
----------
lyrics and melody inspiration: Jolly Roger
vocals and guitar and lyrical transcription: Wages

all chords relative to capo at 5th (I think they are right, but maybe not!)

Am F Em
don't, tell me once again, that you feel OK
when you, complain about things, each and every day
C
just wait a minute
Em
don't let anything in
Em
and maybe when you're done,
G
you won't be such a glutton
and you will learn
why i can tell you that
it's because where you're sitting now
Am-F-Em
I once sat

don't, tell me once again, that you are fine
when you, break into songs, each and every time
just wait a minute
don't let anything in
and maybe when you're done,
you won't be such a glutton
and you will learn
why i can tell you that
it's because where you're sitting now
I once sat

It's always cool to have somebody do you the honour of covering your songs. Thank you. It's interesting how you changed the guitar and vocal tune, but I can still see the original song under the new one.

If you're talking about the one posted now, that's not the first. If so, then never mind, lol
I thought Ross Durand got that honor first.

Ah, didn't take the dux into account. Blue was right on Dre's tune then.

Wish I'd won that, though. I was proud of my song.

I like the FM pick thing. It would be cool to have a panel, like Nur Ein, to make a pick each fight with the Fight Masters. Or have an FM's pick and a panel pick. The panel should be anyone from Steve Durand to Rat Poison.

you are excellent (twice). this is the worst song I have ever done so I don't know why you would cover it but it is interesting.
