Currently, my favorite kids shows are Yo Gabba Gabba and Peep and the Big Wide World - because they make my kids happy, they have a good message and they are fun to watch, and educational.
When I was a kid I didn't watch a lot of TV, only because I wasn't allowed to. But I really liked Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers when I was really little, and when I got a little older I liked 3-2-1 Contact. I also like Reading Rainbow and You Can't do that on Television.
Today I got to sleep in. Now we're having Little Caesar's Pizza, then I'm gonna dye my hair and do laundry. I've gotta give the kids a bath tonight. Whoo hoo, that's my Sunday!

Electric company could probably be held partly responisble for a whole generation's love of spider man.

Umm, well, Howdy Doodie and then Captain Kangaroo, I guess. Currently... hmm, does "The Amanda Show" count as a kids' show? I didn't think so... no idea, then...
Studio got all torn apart last week to record some school concerts and I'm hoping to get it mostly back together today. Cox is supposed to come and fix the cable TV stuff today. New TV season starts tonight, I think...

Re: September 23, 2007 - Roll call
My favourite would have been The Banana Splits (particularly Danger Island) or anything involving Rolf Harris. As I got a bit older, The Curiosity Show was the real winner.rdurand wrote: QOTD - What was (is) your favorite childrens's show?
Nowdays, most of my viewing is directed by a 3-year-old. My the shows that annoy me least would be Banana's in Pyjamas, The Wiggles and Fifi & the Flowertots. Hairy Maclary is also pretty cool, but the backing music is a bit grating. There is also a very bizarre little show that comes on occaisionally on the ABC - Those Scurvy Rascals, about pirates that steal pants. That one is awesome!

Roll Call: My shoulder hurts today. Must be getting old. I won't be playing any guitar today. A shame, since I bought a new one yesterday. It was this neat old Ovation that I couldn't pass up.
QotD: Big fan of cartoons. Always have been. Looney Tunes was the king, but I liked Bullwinkle a lot too. And Underdog, and Dudley Do-Right.

Danger Island was the absolute best part of Banana Splits. Who wants to start a band called Uh-oh Chongo!? And you can't mention HR Pufnstuf without mentioning the equally as trippy Lidsville. Ah...drug influenced childrens television. What could be better? Great theme music too.
Bringin' the stink since 2006.
