It certainly was! Of course, there's always the counterexample:

obscurity - "Look Good In Black" 16/04/03

I'd been hanging round the boards since summer '02 (when I discovered somesongs), convinced I'd never be able to write and record anything worth a crap in the space of a week, then that title came along and pretty much insisted that I write a song for it (me being a goth and all).

My four-and-a-half year anniversary would be this week (as Lunkhead mentioned on the previous page, my first fight was "So Aggravating," May '03), so I'm thinking I'll probably get the ol' band back together and record something this week. And hell, I might actually hang around for a little while this time. Time will tell.

Five years! Hard to believe. There are quite a few good songs in that "Bullseye Girl" fight. I like Glenn Case's dead-on Elvis Costello impression as "Abbott Presley", along with Frankie's guytar song, Future Boy's twisted "ballad", Octothorpe's classic entry, and Xiu House Rocks's guytar, etc. etc.

The 31st of Oct. will be my 3 year anniversary in SF. I have a grand total of 28 songs in nearly 3 years. I don't know if that's good or not. That's about what, 1 song for every 6 weeks?

Well since this is necro'd, Looks like the 31st of Oct will be my 8 year anniversary in SF. Although, not having done a song here in 3 years might put that number in question. :P

I have been visiting the site since I learned MC Frontalot started here. That was around 2007... Since then, I have been dreaming of joining the fight and finally built the courage to submit an entry for Suitcase in July 2013. Before then, I wrote 4 songs but didn't submit:

-History of my broken heart
-Robot Candidate
-Double Take
-Has Been for Years

Yes, I read the excuses forum. All of them apply to me. I think I even added to the list. In the end, I'm really happy to have joined.
