But it should be "fLAKES ROMP."

Actually if the viney characters were even able to be lower case it should be:
fLAKEs ROMp
But.. uh.. bite me.

So, I wanted to lock down the members of the Good Times Fun Band for my set. I'll be doing two songs with # (right spud?), and then I have my backup singer and special guest banjo player lined up from here. I'm going to operate under the presumption that former Good Times Fun members Ken and Sam are back in on drums and guitar (please let me know if this is wrong). I am in need of some hot bass playing action from a hot action bass player. Let me know if anyone is interested in the position. I hope to have a final set list locked by today so I can get you guys chords and mp3s of the songs.

I'm so excited!
Ken and Sam:
I know I'll be doing Coraline, 4 am Los Angeles, and I'd probably be strung up if I didn't do Husky Youth. I'm working on a new song that I hope to have done and demo recorded by this weekend. I also would like to cover an Add song, though I don't know which one of if I'll have time in my set to do so.
Coraline and 4 am Los Angeles were both up on Sean's website, but the link doesn't seem to be working. I'll e-mail those to you guys, but they way we played them last time was perfect. The only difference is the addition of banjo to 4 am. (fingers crossed)
Husky is here:

Once the new song is ready I'll get it to you. I'll also dig up the chord sheets from last time.
sweet.

Hey All,
A little gear talk before the show.
Sam and I are bringing Electric guitars. We can also bring a bass if needed. Drums and amps are provided, as well as PA. I believe Octothorpe is bringing one keyboard. Does anyone need more gear than that?

Any idea on the lineup yet? I'd like to give my invitees with a more narrowed down time frame. My drummer is working in Cost Mesa until 6pm, so our original time slot request would be great. Thanks in advance.

I'd just like to get confirmation as to whether someone's bringing an acoustic guitar. I can bring mine if necessary but it has a crappy pickup and I don't trust my case with the baggage handlers.

Can I play on Husky Youth puh-leeze? Tuba? Lap steel? Melodica?

LET HIM.
STATE fucking SHIRT wants to play on your song. YOU DO NOT DENY THE SHIRT.
BTW here is my tentative set list. I was planning only being accompanied on the first song BUT if others want to accompany me on things (meaning the whole set or at least contiguous groups of songs, no wishy-washy waffling! gotta maximize play time, minimize setup) here is my list:
* I LOVE YOU
* Shipwreck / FITM
* Run Faster
* Gin Or Ginseng (you probably do not know this song)
* Put Cindy Back On The Bus
* Laments (you definitely do not know this song)
* I Think It's Killing Me
HOWEVER I will not be playing these songs in their usual live-play styles so. It's probably best to keep it all solo.
Just thought I'd offer though.

Sweeeeet lord yes you can! You can play whatever you damn well please on Husky. And since you mentioned it... do you actually have a lap steel? cause I have a new song it would go perfect with... and let me know if I can return the favor on your set.
Here is my tenative list (not in set order) with tenative players attached:
Coraline (Ken-drums, Sam-guitar, Unnamed Bass Player-bass, Fro-bu vocals)
4 a.m. Los Angeles (Ken-drums, Sam- guitar, Unnamed Bass Player-bass, Daryl-banjo)
These Defences (Ken-drums, Fro-acoustic guitar, Unnamed Bass Player-bass, Daryl-banjo, Sam or State Shirt-guitar accents or slide guitar... we'll talk about it)
Overkill (Octothorpe in the house!, Fro-bu vocals)
Bad Dreams (Octothorpe still in the house!, Fro-bu vocals)
Husky Youth (Ken-drums, Sam-guitar, Unnamed Bass Player-bass State Shirt-whatever the hell he wants to play, Fro-bu vocals)
I'm also performing on:
I Love you w/ Fluffy
Step Up w/ Octothorpe
I'll have the demo for These Defences done tomorrow. Let me know what songs you need mp3s and chords for so I can get em to whoever needs em.

I saved the mp3 of Coraline from last time, but not the one of 4am, so if you could post that somewhere or otherwise make it available that'd be cool, thanks!

If my set comes after Octothorpe's, I'm going to need at least one other bands' set in the interim to give my wrists and voice a chance to recover (since I'll be doing some technically and vocally-demanding stuff in mine, at least by my standards). If mine comes before Octothorpe's they can go sequentially though.

Like I said before, I'm not too picky about when I go on, though I do stand a better chance of getting more people to come if I go on a bit later (9 or 10 ish)
