I'm probably going to get blasted for this, but I disliked "The Wonder Years" with a passion. Never got all the hype about "Friends" either. "Sitcoms" in general,were never my favs for watching-- unless you count the cartoon versions and/ or variants like...
1. South Park
2. Simpsons
3. Lexx (and the other cartoonlike aliens on a spaceship Sci fi show)
4. Benny Hill (probably not considered a sitcom-- but damn and I loved that show)
5.Ab- Fab- Haven't seen many, but THAT was a funny show

That show flip-flopped between incredibly stupid and really funny. I mean minute by minute. A few weeks ago it was playing in a video store, and on the show there was this couple making out, then the girl pulls away and looks down at his pants and says "What is this thing called, love?" and Benny Hill comes out as a director and says "Cut! Cut! You've got it all wrong. It's supposed to be 'What is this thing called Love?" I laughed at that on and off the rest of the day.

I think I'll have to increase this to a Top 6 and include Yes, Minister.

I recently bought a DVD box set of all the Yes, Minister shows and they are brilliant. Even though the shows are over 25 years old, it's depiction of government is still amazingly accurate.

Especially now that I'm a public servant and I actually have to write briefing notes and answer questions from Parliment etc. for my own Minister - when I watch Sir Humphrey Appleby I get a cold chill up my spine.

I am becoming a moral vacuum.

Yes, I always thought so. But where Friends was largely nutural in boy-girl presentation, Coupling is largely driven by the women, who are appreciatively carnivorous in nature.

I don't have access to such stats but MASH was still pretty high up there when it said goodbye, wasn't it?

i have been enjoying "how i met your mother" - not much in the way of insult comedies (that's good) and it has neil patrick harris, who everybody used to think i looked like.
