#1 is obviously Small Wonder.
Wow, there's one I didn't need to be reminded of.

Let me add to the revulsion - here's the theme song:

She's a small wonder
Pretty and bright with soft curls
She's a small wonder
A girl unlike other girls
She's a miracle, and I grant you, she'll enchant you at first sight
She's a small wonder
And she'll make your heart take flight
She's fantastic, made of plastic
Microchips here and there
She's a small wonder,
Brings love and laughter everywhere!

I'm probably going to get blasted for this, but I disliked "The Wonder Years" with a passion. Never got all the hype about "Friends" either. "Sitcoms" in general, were never my favs for watching-- unless you count the cartoon versions and/ or variants like...
1. South Park
2. Simpsons
3. Lexx (and the other cartoonlike aliens on a spaceship Sci fi show)
4. Benny Hill (probably not considered a sitcom-- but damn and I loved that show)
5.Ab- Fab- Haven't seen many, but THAT was a funny show

MST3000 ( OK, that one's probably not considered a "sitcom" either...)

No, unless you just count the little skits in between movie segments.
But if it did count, it would jump to the top of my list (:

That show flip-flopped between incredibly stupid and really funny. I mean minute by minute. A few weeks ago it was playing in a video store, and on the show there was this couple making out, then the girl pulls away and looks down at his pants and says "What is this thing called, love?" and Benny Hill comes out as a director and says "Cut! Cut! You've got it all wrong. It's supposed to be 'What is this thing called Love?" I laughed at that on and off the rest of the day.

Which was *exactly* what I loved SO much about it.

TOP 5 SITCOMS OF ALL-TIME:
1. Blackadder
2. Fawlty Towers
3. The Simpsons
4. Seinfeld
5. Get Smart

(Honourable mentions which just miss the list: The Office, Red Dwarf, The Young Ones and South Park)
I think I'll have to increase this to a Top 6 and include Yes, Minister.

I recently bought a DVD box set of all the Yes, Minister shows and they are brilliant. Even though the shows are over 25 years old, it's depiction of government is still amazingly accurate.

Especially now that I'm a public servant and I actually have to write briefing notes and answer questions from Parliment etc. for my own Minister - when I watch Sir Humphrey Appleby I get a cold chill up my spine.

I am becoming a moral vacuum.

In order:

Blackadder (except season 1, which was crap)
Red Dwarf (except the last 2 seasons, which were just OK)
Joking Apart (Hardly anyone else ever seems to have heard of this one, so sadly I doubt it'll ever see the light of day on DVD :( )
Yes, [Prime] Minister
Coupling (except the last season, which was just OK)

I concur that Coupling is brilliant. (I must also say that the last episode of Season 4 was phenomenal and makes up for the mediocrity of the other 5 episodes.

I just saw in the local TV guide there is apparently an American version of 'Coupling'. WTF!
I thought 'Coupling' was made as an English version of 'Friends'.
Is Pop eating itself?

Yes, I always thought so. But where Friends was largely nutural in boy-girl presentation, Coupling is largely driven by the women, who are appreciatively carnivorous in nature.

RIP Barney Fife, one of the greatest comedic televison actors of all time.

"The show ran from 1960-68, and was in the top 10 of the Nielsen ratings each season, including a No. 1 ranking its final year. It is one of only three series in TV history to bow out at the top: The others are "I Love Lucy" and "Seinfeld." The 249 episodes have appeared frequently in reruns and have spawned a large, active network of fan clubs."

I don't have access to such stats but MASH was still pretty high up there when it said goodbye, wasn't it?

i have been enjoying "how i met your mother" - not much in the way of insult comedies (that's good) and it has neil patrick harris, who everybody used to think i looked like.

Anyone remember Chris Elliot's short-lived (1990-92) masterpiece, Get A Life?

I thought that show was kind of lame.
