So everybody's going to put up mp3s, right? So people can hear your crazy obscure song picks? Mine are half-up, but my wife made me go to work instead of uploading the other two :)

No way, that'd be, like, stealing music or something! Instead, here is a youtube video of one of my songs. It is four minutes of awesomeness. You should quit your job so you can stay home and watch movies of Mark Sandman all day. Your wife will approve.

I don't have a copy of "Digging in the Dirt" but I figure that's the easiest of them to find anyway.

Oh here it is on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9A5D9k3SUo

So others can check out my obscure picks:

"Pillars" by Sunny Day Real Estate (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oz9jOGznmv4)

"Mr. Prison Shanks" by Made Out Of Babies (http://www.madeoutofbabies.com/media/08 ... shanks.mp3)

"Requiem Por Un Con" as done by Vanessa Paradis
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0ceOJeL2jI)

I can't find a convenient link for "Anna is a Speed Freak" from Pure.

Joe Jackson "The Old Songs"
Raw Youth "Tame Yourself"

Despite my love of "Tame Yourself", I must say that both you & Albatross have picks, putting in 4 more picks as PS wouldn't be fair. Sorry.

Well, Niv, seeing as how you owe me a cover anyway, (<A href="http://songfight.net/forums/viewtopic.p ... member?</A>) maybe you could take a stab at it in lieu of doing something of mine?

Aw! Thanks for the effort, RG!

I may have to bail... although I'll have time post-October to record, I don't think I'll have time pre-November to recruit.

So unless some other latecomers join the fray "tout suite" I'll have spectate. Perhaps I'll just record some covers from the sidelines.

Don't sweat it. There are always late comers. Just wait and you'll be in.

Ah... Cool!

And, on the off chance no other contenders materialize, I offer my services as "untried collaborator" for anyone who's in need. (Of course the offer stands if I make it in, too!)

DO NOT CONFUSE THESE CHOICES WITH MINE. THEY ARE GOOD SONGS, BUT THEY ARE NOT MY CHOICES.

The person who got TVIYH gets a nice bonus. Songs AND Lyrics:

Alice in Chains - Am I Inside (<a href="http://users.stargate.net/~holliday/SAP4.HTM">Lyrics</a>) (<a href="http://www.glenncase.com/tviyh/aliceinc ... 3">Song</a>)
Donovan - Codine (<a href="http://www.smartlyrics.com/Song109272-D ... >Lyrics</a>) (<a href="http://www.glenncase.com/tviyh/donovan_ ... 3">Song</a>)
Faith No More - King for a Day (<a href="http://www.fnm.com/lyrics/kfad_lyrics.h ... >Lyrics</a>) (<a href="http://www.glenncase.com/tviyh/faithnom ... 3">Song</a>)
Toad the Wet Sprocket - All I Want (<a href="http://www.lyricsbox.com/toad-the-wet-s ... >Lyrics</a>) (<a href="http://www.glenncase.com/tviyh/toadthew ... 3">Song</a>)
