Seems to me you were kinda forced in to announcing a deadline in the first place.

Life got in the way... an extension would be super-groovy. (And it'd be a good chance to listen to some more Gene Vincent for reference.)

Glennny & Lunkhead will not make the original deadline. Our dreams of time over the holidays to work on this were squashed. We're cramming for a New years gig at the Prisoners place tonight and then playing tomorrow. It's the top of my list however, I hope to tackle it next week.

Extension would be great!

besides Niv, your part is done, you still have time to rest up for FAWM.

I am way behind on stuff I'm supposed to send to HInc but I'm out of the hospital now and should be able to finish it up reasonably quick!

So here's where we stand.

Drums and bass are in.
My vox are in, originally intended as a guide track for Paco and Mad Dog
Paco is in with lead guitar.

What I would like to do, if I had the time:
1. Get Mad Dog to sing the lyrics. I would keep my vox on the chorus as backup.
2. Add some keyboards to smooth everything out and pump up the mix.

Unfortunately, Mad Dog is out of town. So while I could get to #2, #1 will go by the wayside if we don't get an extension.

Okay, an extension seems to be in order. And with the GOM happening on the 10th and FAWM starting in february, the deadline will land in-between.

Extension Date: 1/20/09

Niv, I hate to say this, but I honestly have no inspiration for it. As far as I can tell, Lord of Oats is in the same boat. I don't want to sound like I'm a quitter, but ... I'm a quitter?

Mine's in, and I'll take another if need be.

I am being crap and delaying the finishing of ours due to other commitments (work and drinking mainly) but it's a great song so I intend to finish it up very soon!

Niv, maybe you can contact some others that were on your list before you ran out of songs.

What others? Anyone who offered got a song. Reist & LoO, I understand. It can be odd for some doing someone else's song.

"Contagious"- done by Melvin. Excellent work.
"Duenna Inc."- assigned to Aardwolves & Noah McLaughlin.
"NYC Bodysnatchers" assigned to the Hell Yeahs.
"A Simple Operation" assigned to Caravan Ray & the Primitive Screwheads
"Near Death Experience" assigned to Ross Durand & Johnny Cashpoint
"12 o'clock Blackout" assigned to Charcoal & Heuristics Inc
"Breaking News" done by Berkshire Social Scene.
"Prayers" done by Jim Tyrrell.
"Audience" done by Billy's Little Trip.
"Headbanger" assigned to Paco del Stinko & Octothorpe
"Critical Condition" unassigned (previously Reist & LoO)
"The Aftermath" assigned to Niveous

We're working on it, but we aren't done yet. It's a matter of principle

Oh, no! I am like a month behind on my half of this and it is because I am a bad bad person. I have some stuff mostly put together but it needs the singing and for various reasons my opportunities to record things that require doing anything out loud are extremely limited right now.

If y'all are willing to be patient I will do what I can, when I can, as soon as I can. If not I'll understand.
