A boo hiss for myspace.
Myspace has confirmed that all their downloads are being converted to 96kbps: http://www.drownedinsound.com/articles/1488120
And they have screwed up my profile. I had a spam comment I couldn't get rid of so I asked customer service to remove it. They did. And also reset my profile into a regular one instead of a music one. That happened over a week ago and still it hasn't been fixed.
SF'er Tam Lin Music is also having problems with his myspace as it sits in a strange limbo between deletion and existance. It exists but acts like it has been deleted. Myspace hasn't fixed him either.

Sup. It's pretty annoying not being able to add my 4 songs. If an account for some reason is not a music account, how do I change that?

You have to delete the account, and recreate it as a band account. That is, start here: http://signup.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=bandjoin (instead of the normal signup page.)
