VSTSynthFont.
Crashes Reaper, for me.
I should've specified I use it in Music Studio Producer (which costs $£€0 if you want to give it a shot).

Not sure if this has been posted yet. Free pitch correction:

I can use this, if it works...

I just registered for a code. This plug can be helpful.

Yeah, that vinyl one is nice. Expect the "warp" setting to be blatantly overused by me the next time I actually get off my ass and enter a fight.

I just don't see how I could ever refuse an effect that has a "dust" selection, lol. Looking forward the the "mechanical noise" as well.

http://www.virsyn.de/en/E_Products/E_VTAPE/e_vtape.html
VTAPE is a set of three plugins based on a thorough simulation of the famous sound of analog tape machines.
VTAPE Saturator simulates the recording and playback on an analog tape mastering machine.
VTAPE Delay combines this sound with a modern, step sequencer-like tapped delay engine which leads the tradition of the tape echo machines into the 21st century.
VTAPE Flanger simulates the legendary “Tape flanging” effect which can be achieved through the playback of two tape machines running at slightly different speed.

Didn't see this mentioned. This is the best soft-clipping/saturation plugin I've ever used, free or not.

Actually all his plugins are worth a look.

Not sure if this has been posted on here yet, but they have a pretty ginormous database of free plugins:

Some of these look pretty neat, and it looks like the only place this was mentioned here before was in the "Mac plugins" thread:

They are! Not particularly subtle, though. I've used Geometer for all sorts of things, but it is hell on processing power.

Who needs subtle? I heavily bitcrush+tape delay my drums, and abuse the heck out of the delay time parameter to get chirpy weirdness and record scratch noises.

I haven't used them in years, but if I remember correctly dfx's Buffer Override and Transverb are pure drugs. SmartElectronixs are my favorite plugin makers, and they're all free.

Scrubby & Geometer have appeared on my live electronic shows on numerous occasions!
I like them for improv stuff.

Bias is offering a free gate/expander plug-in, registration required. Don't forget to opt out of getting spam from them when you fill out the form. Also apparently the installer apparently looks like it's going to install a full suite of plug-ins from Bias and it sounds like you have to say "no thanks" or something and make sure to only install the free plugin. I'm at work so I haven't tried this, so your mileage may vary:
