With both Leaf and BLT posting to this thread, I predict it will hit 20 pages soon.

oh, plus I just remembered the other reason. I didn't want to post "it" in public. But I'll have you know that I made that post more productive just for you.....and Ken. Maybe you can help with your awesome knowledge base and all around superior intelligence.Billy's Little Trip wrote:Oh, the reason I said PM sent to Ken is because I hate to leave someone publicly hanging, especially Ken because he's been a HUGE help to me here. There's nothing worse than posting a thread and no one even acknowledges you. Call it a crime of passion.

Thanks, dude - good to hear you liked it.Leaf wrote:Reist: seriously, change your avatar. you are not a kid anymore/. I keep wanting to take your candy and kick your shins. I seriously remember you're stuff as being so inferior to this one... which is fucking awesome... you fucking great canadian drummer dude you. you make me proud to be a canadian. The sound is great. your drums sound great. Your lead work needs work, but not a lot!! Your voice sounds great. The song itself... is okay. I've heard lots like this. I think what it lacks... is a strong hook. I've had a hard time with this hook concept myself... but stilll, you need one man. otherwise, great. This pop-punks style is okay, and you sound authentic, but is it really you? What you live? This was the track that has surpirsed me and surpassed my expecatitons of the artist. Take that as you like... I'd take it as a compliment. My work room mate is here.. he totally dug this tune. he is not a musician, just leaned over and said..thsi one is good amn, good voice... so there!Q!Q!
Is that a bad thing?reve wrote:They would play this on my local alt-rock station for sure.
That comes from recording the guitar solos before the lyrics were done. There was one spot in the solo just before the "Spiderman" verse where the improvised soloing just happened to remind me a little bit of the melody from this. Second verse was quickly written to play up on that. That and the fact that I'd heard this on the radio the very day.boltoph wrote: Flvxxvm Florvm
I don't get the spiderman reference.
Octothorpe appreciates your vote. If we play any shows between now and the elections, we will put this on during the pre-show.reve wrote:Well, since my song was really just a really an excuse to yell "Octothorpe for president," it's clear I dig the 'thorpe. And this did not disappoint.

Yeah, send it over, i'll have a go. Can i put some bass on it as well?Reve wrote:If anyone wants to re-sing it for me I'll send ya a non-destroyed mix. Takers?
MUM! Daddy is going cwazy!Caravan Ray wrote: BLT: How did your production get so awesome recently? I got your email about backing vox for this (too late arsehole) - but I will admit - there is nothing I could have added to this. (I tried to do some demented screaming - but it made my daughter cry, so I gave up). This is just plain brilliant. Double-plus-good.
Thanks, Reve. When you say delays, do you mean the breaks or delay on vox and instruments?reve wrote: BLT. Billy always rocks, and continues to display his rock prowess here. My bit of constructive criticism is that the delays really don't work at your high skill level. It winds up sounding more cheesy bad than cool or even cheesy kitch. However, this minor qualm has no impact on the easy decision to vote for you.
Thanks, Bolt. Yeah, it does have a little slice of Damage Inc there on the intro, doesn't it.boltoph wrote: Billy's Little Trip
I almost thought it was going to start like Damage, Inc. but it busted into some punk stuff. I like the held out feedbacky stuff. The guitar is a manufactured sounding thing like Andrew's but with less low and a little fuzzier. This needs the Green Day guitar tone. But it's pretty hard hitting and catchy.
