Oh, cool. I'm going to hold off and work on mine more. It's done, but I REALLY wanted to do a cool percussion bridge that I kept putting off. But I think my giftee would really get a kick out of it, so now I will do it.

One other thing, I have really gotten to like the original of the song that I'm covering, and I'd amazingly never heard it before this fight in spite of it being a band that I've heard a lot of other stuff by. This is the best part of the whole Gift of Music thing.

After several days of working on my song, I decided I had grown so hateful of the original I couldn't stand my version either. I was still going to go with it but fate was merciful and gave me a computer error. So, on one hand I lost the song I hate. On the other, I had to start from scratch on a new song. The new tune I enjoy more. I just have to add the bells and whistles. Hopefully I'll be done before midnight.
