"Jon Eric was supposed to cover a song for somebody, and then he never did. He is currently trying his best to look like Fred Savage with a bad 90s goatee."
The main reason I'm offended by this is because twelve hours before I first read it, I lost a heated argument over whether I do in fact resemble Fred Savage (I maintain that I don't). There's also the matter that I haven't had a goatee in a very long time, but that too is old hat.
I'm just curious whose handiwork that is, and wondering if perhaps it shouldn't be immortalized somewhere after I update my wiki page with up-to-date and accurate info.

Or whatever.
A much more pressing issue: Why is it giving me Google ads on the side in Spanish?

I'm still humored by the "Site Status" wasting space on the front page. Evertime the site is down I go the Wiki, just for fun, and sure enough..."Site's Up!"...makes me feel so much better.

Well, I put the 'site status' there when we had the big outage. I figured it'd be an okay way to let people know what was going on with it when any information came through.

That's cool. Then maybe a "News/Notification" line instead (and only when needed)? I just get irked by something that seems to promise something (like reliable site status) while knowing it can't deliver since there aren't folks sitting around songfight.org 24/7 to update it and I doubt there's any automated mechanism involved. But a field that suggests some sort of notification like "hey, we just took a big hit and service may be intermittent" (with date/time stamp) would hold great value.
If people go to the wiki expecting to see site status and it never reflects reality (when it matters), then they'll never go for that purpose again. But if it's hosted on a different system and therefore can pretty reliably act as a communication point for when songfight.net/.org is down for significant time or reason, then it holds opportunity indeed.

Er, the wiki IS on another system. It's just not tied in to the first system.
Song Fight does have pretty regular little tiny server outages but I don't know if there's any reasonable way (or need) to keep some external site up-to-date with it. I suppose when I get my email->AIM gateway working again I could set it up so that whenever it goes down it pings Spud or something though but I have a feeling he'd kill me.

Sounds like a good idea fluffy, but have it ping shadowy puppetmaster instead.

I'm pretty fluent in Spanish, actually, but
matracome is a bit beyond me. And why'd you switch from
tu to
usted between sentences?

That was my point. I think the messages should only appear during significant outages. SF seems to have lots of little time outs, but when it's down for most of a day I start to get curious. This doesn't happen much, so a note on the Wiki would help. That's all. I've made too much of this. I am anal in this regard. I appologize for the wasted bandwidth that I am still wast...

Cool resource links are easier to find when they are on a page that suggests it has cool resource links, rather than on an individual songfighter's page. Everything you list seems very intriguing and appropriate to the Wiki, other than the video game links. Check the homepage and put things where they can enlighten people's art. Also, only make the title or subject a hyperlink, full sentences look silly and don't high-light what the link is for.
Nice page, though! And now everyone can tell me to do it myself (it's a Wiki, roymond...)

I will relocate the links to the resource area soon; and the video game links are conducive to the creation of Over Clock Remixes - for those who particupate in the OCremix. Duh.

C'mon. You know you wanna rock Toe Jam and Earl...
