Lighten up, dude. Grow some skin. And don't try to re-write history. Believe it or not, some people ARE paying attention.

Hahaha, funny stuff.
Anyway WeakestSuit, as AAWWTFBBQ falls in-side of your 50-in-90 thang, can the songs count towards your 50 song goal? Basically, can I double dip? Because if so, you could probably count me in for both.

That is, if Nur Ein doesn't kill me first.

Yes! Get ready to start writing and recording at 12:01am (Eastern) on Monday morning(Sunday night) July 9th. I will start a new thread at that time so that this one doesn't get too crowded or hard to find information. Same rules as last year. But with different thingies/twists. Time to start suggesting thingies/twists. Look at the posts from last year to figure out what suggestions were suggested... Yes.

Yes. Everyone should do, or at least attempt, this. This is awesome. Do you not want to be awesome?

Twistingie #1: This time it's personal. Reveal something ostensibly personal about yourself or someone you know. (It's okay to lie)

This is the worst week all year for me. I'm not even in my home country. I guess I'm not doing an AAW WTF this year, unless you guys want to change the date ...

Doh's! :( Maybe you can give it a shot when you come back? I'll still cheer you on, what with being one of very few people to actually finish the last album and everything!

Yeah, this is a bad week for me too. JR, maybe we should make our own AAWWTF. With blackjack. And hookers.

Well, I get back from my trip July 15th at 11:00 at night. Do you think we could start it on Tuesday the 17th? If not, Monday is okay too. I just think I may need a day to catch up on sleep before I start on a project like this.

Okay then, since the Canadians are messing up The Plan, we will just say that AAW WTF starts on 16th July. Seven days to prepare. Are you ready?! Keep suggesting twists/thingies.
Aww... wtf?

Twistingie #2: phoney baloney! Incorporate a phone sound into your song (e.g. touch tone, pulse, ringing, etc). Bonus points for also incorporating bologna.

Proposal for number 5... Write a song about being in an indian restaurant on a hot date and eating kashmiri lamb and getting a piece of the lamb stuck in your teeth and trying to dislodge it with your tongue whilst still hoping to get off with said hot date (extra incorporation.... instead of nice typical music playing in the background, the restaurant is subjecting its patrons to S Club 7's greatest hits...)

This isn't sensible is it?...

#6 Write a song about your best birthday

So I only remembered yesterday that I have tickets to a music festival in Camden for Thursday-Sunday(Fratellis! Fountain of Wayne! Los Lonely Boys! The Cat Empire! Suzanne Vega! Super good, and only $20 for all four days!). And then friend stuff all Friday night/Saturday morning. So, uh, AAW is gonna be pretty intense in the first few days. :D I figure I'll just do AADs on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then when I'm not at the festival I'll fine tune stuff. Woo, this is gonna be super good.

#7 No vocal treatment - don't apply compression, pitch correction, or any other effects to your vocal tracks. Compressing the final mix (i.e., mastering) is OK. Challenge does not apply to songs w/o vocals. :)

#8 - Flattery - Imitate another band or musician well enough that the listener can identify who you're emulating. Bonus points if it's a fellow Songfighter; double bonus points if it's another AAWWTF'er.
