Sorry to report that Rachael and I are officially out. We just can't justify the expenses this time. We'd probably be laying down between $1,000 to $1,500 on the trip.
Maybe next year. At this rate, I have been going to every OTHER Songfight Live since Austin, so we'll see.
ROCK!

RSVP!
It is now nearly certain that this year's events will take place at venues in and around East Atlanta Village. I can't name names as I'm waiting for confirmations, but let's peg it at 90%.
More updates to come, but please do RSVP to that event if you are A) coming to the event and B) have a MySpace account. If you don't have an account, send your RSVP to fightmaster and he'll pass it on to me.

We need more people that I know.
We need more people that I don't know.
Also, the ladies.

Less people means more time to play!

I am not coming this year, for reasons that are primarily financial and only marginally hating-you-all oriented. I know this is sad news but try not to cry! It only makes me hate you slightly more and I have yet to work out a reliable way to turn your collective tears into dollars.

True, but more time to play means less time to drink.

So true.
Also, shouldn't we at the very least start talking about scheduling the venue? Such as time slots and junk like that?

If I get the venue for two days, if <strike>8</strike> 10 people showing up to play, that's like FOREVER each. [edit] Well, maybe not so much if we just do three hours a day or something [/edit]
So far it doesn't look like there's enough action to warrant adding the "afternoon acoustic" show.

Tell as many people as you want to vote for you at the live event where no voting will take place.

Up to 11!
If Jeff Robertson you are coming, that makes 12. I'm feeling better now.

So what...no Octothorpe?!?!
10-12 bands sounds good. Longer sets is also good. An audience would make it even better.
By the way, I'm probably going to go to see the Braves/Giants on Wednesday night and I think I'm going to buy tickets in advance if anyone is interested in joining me. If there is no Thursday night show and people would rather go to a game on Thursday, I am flexible. You can PM me if you think this is getting off-topic a bit.

Obviously I can't speak for all of Octothorpe but I'm too busy with moving to San Francisco right now, and Spud and Mad Dog both have pretty good reasons to not make the trip either.
(On that note, Octothorpe needs a drummer again.)

I would dearly love to see some kind of sporting event on wed night, even though i have no idea who those teams are. Just the thing to wipe out the memory of a nine hour transatlantic flight.
