I don't think anyone's going to buy CDs just to cover a song for you... perhaps it would benefit you to make mp3s privately for your gifter and send them via Niv ?

Not being a freshy-pants here or anything, but have any due dates for lists, links, I'm ins, etc., been set yet? Again, just curious, not all "what's taking so long!"

Mrs. Rinkydink....um, you've never Songfought before. I know your husband has. Are you going to be performing the song? How is this supposed to be working?

LSK, you have entered one SF prior to your entry in the GoM. We are going to need to know that you are not gonna flake out on the GoM. If you're going to join this, you best not flake out.

We have collaborated in our entries to the coverfights and last years GoM.
We have similar and different tastes in music and how things should sound so usually end up with a compromise (i.e. me doing what she says ;)) which is why we're entering this GoM separately. We'll still help each other out but we'll each have full artistic control over our gifts of music.
so yes, she has songfought before, just as much as I have and yes, she will be performing the song :D

How this is supposed to work, who knows? but atm I'll be the 'recording engineer' for her and depending on my choice of songs she could end up being my vocalist, apart from that we're on our own

i hope i get someone who has chosen 4 completly different songs, all of which are geat and easy to cover, failing that please let there be at least one good one

i've just realised that instead of picking 4 favourite songs i shoulda picked 4 songs i like a lot but think could be done better, that way the gifter has a chance of being better than the original :D ah well, too late heheh

There are lots of artists' lists here that I would love to receive, but also a few that I would honestly be less enthusiastic about. Of course, I will give my all to whatever I end up with but it does seem like both gifters and giftees would be better served by people getting lists that they would be really excited about.

I realize that it's a bit late in the game this year to design a whole system of which artist gets which list, but would there be a way to do this in the future? It might be more work than it's worth but it would be nice for any artist to be able to say that they're into several persons' lists and then be able to receive something that they're definitely passionate about instead of there being the possiblity that one gets songs they aren't into at all.

There is such a system....it's called bribery.
