Actually - "I AM A CHEATING HALF-FULL BAG OF DICKS" may be better.

You mean reunion? They already did an album together. (ok, they
called it three albums, but really, by the recent definition it was a collaborative three disc set)

Sorry for the delay folks. One of the judges had a major family issue that they had to deal with. We're in a bit of a holding pattern this morning. Hopefully will have this all cleared up very soon.

That probably depends on how you define advantage. I enjoy the freedom to record what I want when I want and not need to balance with utside people's timing etc.... The weeks that require collaboration, while fun, i find stressful along those lines.
The fact that one of your members could actually take a full week "off" and still move on, that part does seem a little luxurious....

All this "bag of dicks" talk reminds me of my favorite song from FAWM this year. It happens to be written by my WSA bandmate:
http://fawm.org/songs/26990/
MG, I understand your frustration. Recently there was a difficult title (I thought so anyway) called "Elizabeth the Great". I thought my band dug deep, found a great story about Elizabeth the Great and then executed some excellent lyrics about the Queen and her love Robert Dudley. (I know I'm delusional, but I also realize this is merely my opinion). Then some of my competitors avoided the difficulty away, by making the song about a random chick called Betsy. Those of us that sang about the queen enjoyed the bottom of the rankings.
I don't know man, your lyrics stuck strictly to the form, but they read like mad-libs. You have the right number of lines, with the right pattern of tercets and quatrains, but the content is incredibly mundane. As I mentioned earlier, you sacrificed your English for the rhyme of "Tore". There are many aspects to a song. You got the production down, and the challenge on this one, but I think you got a lyrical failure. Failure is such an ugly word though, let's say that you cheated us of good lyrical content. You sir, are a cheater!
The terms of our peace treaty state that Nur Ein is hostile territory.
I'm still operating under the terms of our treaty MG, Nur Ein is hostile territory, but in the real world we're friends.
NUR EIN !!!!!

Ah yes, keep pointing the finger at someone else and diverting the topic, glennny. That's typically what cheaters and others who avoid responsibility do.

Now I'm avoiding responsibility? Who's delusional now?
Yes I was dirverting the topic, I thought we might discuss where your song fell short. You seem to be avoiding the weakness of your song by harping on the weakness in the challenge aspect of ours.
In many intellectual circles the 1st one to name-call is the loser. I always found you more intelligent than this MG. Are you really so upset you can't think straight?

@Glennny, I think you're just being goaded at this point. He made his case; time to move on. Hopefully, we'll have some results soon and we can start debating the next challenge.

I'd say your slimy responses so far have been an indication of a failure to take responsibility, and I'm getting quite sick of your back-handed words toward
everyone around here. Here's a template you can use for your posts in the future:
Dear So-and-so,
Friendly words. Back-handed comments that negate friendly words.
But we're friends, right?
Sincerely,

I am going to say some things.
I think this has gotten a little ... high pitched. I hesitate to make this observation, because there's a lot of history that I don't know and Ways of doing things around here.
However, I'm terribly invested here, and in this and SongFight, in Nur Ein, in you guys as people. I watch your stuff and follow your progress. I'm a little net stalkery. Yes, I should probably get more of a life. Yes, there is a story behind that - yes it is a bit sad, it's why I care about things here and why if *I* perceive that any of you are not Happy or are at Huge Odds; it makes me a bit blue. Because you have brought actual happiness. To me. With your songs. And your stories. And your tellings of your families and your advice and the traditions and this whole Thing that makes me feel like I am in something purposeful. Perhaps this is silly, or not the right thread for such things. But whatever.
So certainly, continue to eviscerate one another. Yes I do realize that this is not Song Love. That's why I got a pink shirt after I did not fall into a hole on a train in New York..it was my reward for doing Live Fight. And staying somewhere that long. and forcing myself to do my odd reviews which are not always appropriate.
Now, since this acerbic thread has given me a headache, I'm going to drink coffee.
I'm sorry if that came across as either too weenie, or too critical.
Much love and Nur Ein,
DJRD

ps. and when I say "guys as people" I mean the boards. And how they affected us too! I was tragified along with all of us with the elims which included both of our members of Merisan. I wonder what the last two rounds would have been with Oystercatcher and Merisan and Chris C back in with us?

It's way more fun and entertaining to watch the Nur Ein show than it is to be in it. This one is a cliff hanger. I hope it gets picked up for another season.

Chris has been both more helpful than he lets on and has tried to be more helpful and gotten only chat-snipped at than he lets on. I'm ready to make Psychotics songs again because this actually completely blows and if it were seemly I would Whine more about what the other soloists seem to do just fine at in their sleep!
*addition: for example - had I already mentioned here somewhere that Cubase removed my DeEsser just because I tried to make a plugin chain for vox effects processing? I mean...how dare I do such a thing?! What kind of DAW behaves so diabolically the day the song is due?!

Haha! Dee, you're just trying to be all hard and jump in the ring with the boys. Everyone knows you're a sweetie pie and you cover your mouth every time you say a bad word.
Just keep doing what you do, writing wonderfully creative songs with rhymes that flow "naturally" from your soul. You hit the title and challenge criteria head on and still managed a hit song. So let the clipboard holding critics suck a
full bag of dicks. These judges won't be swayed by their propaganda.
edit: lol, that first part sounded chauvinistic. Sorry Dee, we all know you're tough as nails.....

Congrats ADD. You did a really good song and met the challenge nicely. So CR, Gluegun and BGM are out. This was a tough one for the judges.
*stirs pot* Does this mean Glennny was right and MG was wrong?

Nah, the judges were probably punishing me for causing strife. I can't imagine why they'd rank BGM like they did, though - perhaps they forgot what the challenge was altogether.
Such is Nur Ein.
